Iowa: Maize of Defeat

ok fine maybe we should at least do a endless lobby some time soon for the ssf4 players. just saying

I PLAY YOU POOPSLUT. ;_;

I hit all the buttons in VF5 and X-Factor didn’t activate. What a shitty game. :frowning:

I’m glad you put that in all caps because most times when SF4 is mentioned around here it tends to get really quiet.

remember when most of us were still hype about vanilla sf4? clearly we all need to go back and play that again. Not likely but it’s a thought.

Throws cause rage online in vf5 it seems.

The salt is endless

Not entirely sure how far out this is for most of you guys but I figured I’d extend it to you all anyway.

***** Lincoln FGC Monthly Tournament** ***
When: Saturday, July 14th, signup begins at 1:00 pm, first tournament starts at 1:30. You are free to arrive sooner. SCV and AE will both begin at 1:30, Marvel will begin whenever AE finishes.
Where: **Heidelberg’s Sports Bar **16th and Old Cheney, Lincoln, NE 68512 (general, you can’t miss it, it’s just behind the bp gas station.) if you want to mapquest/googlemaps: 1601 Normandy Court Lincoln, NE 68512
How Much: $10 for each tournament. The first person to arrive with a PS3, two controllers, and SCV, and the first three people to arrive with a 360 with either Marvel or AE will have $10 off. Each system must have most up-to-date patches for respective games.
Payout: Each tournament is $50 for first place plus 60% of the pot, second place is $10 plus 40% of the pot.

**Last time, some people left without paying their bill. This was an innocent mistake because people were moving around so much and there was confusion with the bar staff. Because of this, the bar may ask to keep your card/ID if you order. ** Make sure you pay for your food and drinks, people!

I blame Blank.

he wasn’t even there but yeah most likely

Oh you know me and my crazy underage drinking habits. I just get carried away sometimes.

Joker’s next monthly is July 21st. Hopefully there will be a thread up soon.

I posted this in the event thread, but for those making it out to the monthly/LAN event, they have requested that you register on their site. Here’s the event thread:

It’s free and all, so… pretty please?

Do we absolutely HAVE to? I will gladly comply but I know pretty much everyone else isn’t.

Telling them my favorite energy drink is REQUIRED to register. I don’t know if I can register in good conscience.

lol, I noticed that, too. The only reason they ask those questions is because they bring concessions and they want to make sure they bring enough of whatever it is people are going to want to buy.

As for Blake’s question, nah, you don’t HAVE to register, but since it takes literally less than 30 seconds to navigate to their site and register for the event (and it’s free), I’m hoping everyone who plans on coming can swing it. It helps them plan for spacing and staffing as well as gives them actual numbers for when they’re trying to get sponsor prizes and door prizes.

I just put Bawls. Because everyone always says “Connolly likes Bawls.” I trust their judgement.

I like the idea of all of us blowing up their registration page and then blowing up their place with FGC goodness. Do that, and we possibly become a mainstay. Do that, and we possibly have an awesome no-venue-fee spot for a large-ish tournament every year (depending on how much space we actually have), the idea of which I’m a HUGE fan of.

I agree… which is sort of the purpose behind me joining with them. I don’t think it will get to E/MOK hype because of the location, but something with a decent turnout would be sweet.

Oh, and I think I picked Starbucks.

Registered…even though there’s always the chance that I’ll have to work that day (That chance is pretty low now though seeing how we’re finally getting caught up on work…didn’t work last Saturday and they don’t have it scheduled for this weekend).

That’s OK. Even if you can’t make it out, registering as a maybe still helps them.

Registered. Chances of me going are 2%.

And I assure you, they are appreciative.
