I really feel like I need to start looking for a way to drop in with you guys from time to time. I’ve done nothing but hit a wall with playing online. I’m hoping finding a group of people that I can play with in person can help me get better.
I can do combos in training room all day, but that doesn’t say shit for my fundamentals, which are well… shit. I get that that comes with experience, but when that experience is centered around playing something where there’s like a 1 second delay on almost all of my inputs, it gets frustrating.
Things like this make me wish I had learned how to drive.
Long story short: I’m a fucking scrub and Iowa needs more public transport.
Question for you, Murph: What’s the situation with PS to 360 converters? I’m trying to figure out exactly what’ I’m going to need for my Calibur match since I play on pad, and rather than go through a bunch of posts in the event thread, I figured I’d start with you to see if you knew.
I have a converter, but it’s really obnoxious because I have to have a wired 360 pad/stick hooked up at the same time to get it to sync correctly and allow the 360 to register the PS pad inputs.
I don’t use converters, I play stick so I just hard wire directly for each system to avoid problems/lag/ect. Honestly the easiest solution IMO might be to just buy one of those 6 button SF pads but I realize they are not optimal.
etokki.com has some newish ps/2 to 360 converters that work really well. i haven’t had any issues so far anyway. don’t know if that’sa viable option for you or not but it’s there.
Tad late now, but it’s honestly not a big deal. I’m going to play on stick with the understanding that I’ll probably get owned as a result. This is one of the super rare times that a 3D has been put on XBOX when PS is the standard, so I don’t really expect to run into it again. If I do… oh, well, I ain’t winning Evo anytime soon.
If James (DTJB) isn’t playing at the same time as you, see if you can borrow my PS2/PS3-360 converter off him and try it out with whatever you’re using.
