Instant Air Jaguar Kick

It’s worth it depending on the matchup. Any time you fly over a projectile and combo into super, it’s most definitely worth it. Situational maybe, but worth using.

GamerBee uses it a lot. i think i’ll put in the effort to learn this move now after seeing what it can get you.

IAJK is good but the hitbox is much worse than grounded so you can get hit out of it easier and is worse for hitting airborne opponents. Doesn’t break focus also. Less damage if you trade or they block, etc.
It’s good, but don’t throw it out for no reason.

So I pretty much exclusively use the roundhouse IAJK, is there any benefit to forward and short IAJK? I don’t really ever use it close enough that HK IAJK would cross them up, is MK and LK IAJK ever useful?

up close the lk and ex one won’t whiff on crouching opponents. but other than that i prefer the hk one too, gives me the best hitstun to combo it seems.

my input commands are consistently showing 21489 1+K

Fellow Adon players, only use tk jag kick. D,DB,B,UF(hold UF for a little longer) Kick. That is all

I can never get tk jag. I just do 8214+K.

You sould try…

2149 pause lk.

Just give it about 30 minutes in training mode, and I promise you will start getting them. Honestly, when I was first learning this, I would do 2147896 really fastt, then I would pause lk. O.o

im starting to get the timing also…

still not confident enought to perform it against real opponents though.

I always do 2914+K, it’s like a super jump and it feels faster than the TK motion…

the instant air ones I get once in a blue moon and only on the left side of the stage.

I’m trying this out now and then. The method works easy for instant Cannon Strikes, but it’s still not working for Adon. It’d be nice to know how many frames between up-forward and kick you have, so see how lenient or not the timing is.

what about the armor break properties? The jk I use mostly is the forward version ( mk ), because has decent range, dont leave me that close to the opponent for retaliation, and doesnt bluff crossup them on accident. But the armor break is very handy for the ground jk.

What does the 2149 mean i’m kinda confused, i know you mean a motion on the stick but what exactly

The numbers are meant as directions. For example 2 is down and 6 is towards. If you have number pad on your keyboard you’ll understand.

Hold up forward for a little, then press kick. The slight delay will allow you to be airborn

I’ve been having a really tough time with this. I did the motion perfectly once and got the instant air jaguar kick. I then repeated it, same inputs, and it gave me a rising jaguar. I was so confused as to how it could even THINK of giving me a rising jaguar off of QCB + UP +Upforward kick. I also had it happen on a QCB + Upforward kick.

I can get the instant air jaguar kicks off of Up forward + QCB K, but it’s not always instant enough to be comboable thus making it just a regular air jaguar kick that came out more swiftly than usual.

I watched the video on how to get it down, and I’ve practiced it religously, but it’s just not clicking. Which is weird since Cammy’s instant strikes I can do on a whim. Not to sound “needy,” but I wish Capcom would in this upcoming bug fix make his instant air jaguar kicks as easy to perform as cammys instant strikes. :frowning:
