That’s right, Inverse. Leave everything plugged into the board and just solder to the bottom.

Hey Bomberman, you mentioned earlier in the thread that you were going to post pics of how you mounted the Cthulhu in a TE. Did you post those yet and I missed it, or have you not gotten around to it? I’m gonna do my mod this week so I’d really like to see how you did it.

I just finished my first attempt to no avail on my SE stick. I plugged it into a PC and got nothing. Then, I realized that I may have a power issue. When I touch a wire from the 5V on my SE PCB to the Imp’s VCC, Windows recognizes a device. Therefore, I figure I must have a problem with the power going to my Cthulu and back. The Imp draws power from the Cthulu, as I followed the original tutorial on pg. 1 exactly. Any ideas? I guess the next step is to pick up a toner and get to work checking wires…?
if you think is power issue, you should check continuity of the power source and ground to the rest of the board. i mean start from usb cable cut out to the rest of the Vcc and Gnd from both board.
post a few picture if you want more opinion.
I just got done doing to dual mod installation for my 360 TE fight stick. it now works on my xbox 360 but not playstation 3. Any ideas of whats going on.
would the imp work with a bootleg sega saturn usb pad and a x360 stick? because the sega saturn is a standard usb so it should work right? I am just doing one final check b4 i order them.
The Saturn USB pad has to be common ground as well. You should check the Saturn USB pad thread in Tech Talk to find out about that. Assuming it’s common ground, the Imp will work fine. But IMO it’s a better idea to use an Imp than to cannibalize a good pad.
so i did the PS3 only chitulu when i hook it up to the playstation and do not hold down the guide it says unknown device connected(my xbox is set to number 1 on IMP so that should happen) then when I hold down the guide while pluggin it in. it doesnt give me that message but it doesnt look like i have power to the stick. but works flawlessly with xbox. Ive checked all my wires and they seem to be correct any ideas of why this is happenening.
i also dont have the glass or black diodes so i ran a sauder wire from the 1 diode spot so those to points connect is that correct as well.

We need to verify that your power and ground wires are all going to the right spots… Pics would help too.

ok so everything is working now. the only thing that is not working is the start button when I use the stick on PS3. I check my wires and it is saudered to the start on the 360 board and the start on Chtulu any ideas why the start wouldnt be working?
So I tested my start button today still didnt work. So i opened up my stick and saudered my turbo button to the start on the chtulu and still was not able to use start on ps3 so i think there is a problem with my chtulu any ideas what i can do or what i can check thanks?
Note: If you are using a PS3-only Cthulhu board, you also need to install a small wire between the 2 points where the # 1 diode would be on an MC Cthulhu. This is not mentioned in the Cthulhu’s instructable.

for ps3 only cthulhu board, you only need to jumper between the “usb only” point, unless you want to use the rack 1-3’s Vcc, then you need to jumper the diode part.
so i soilder that point with a wire to the 1 below it?
