Always trying something.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing the newer build of this game at SDCC. Maybe by this some of the “filler” stances from MK9 will be removed and people will have one less reason to complain about. :wgrin:

Completely wrong. The fact that THEY HAVE seen it so many times only adds to the saltiness which only helps me more.
It’s the same reason people still do fatalities and babalities in MK9. You’re so busy sitting there going “Really? What was the point of that you douche. -_-” that you’re not adjusting your play so it doesn’t happen again.
I personally love stuff like this because it weeds out shitty, weak minded players.
Stay free Guardians. May your stupidity know no bounds.
No, it makes people move on to fighting games that don’t include repetitive long cutscenes in every single match.
Even MK players put the no blood code in casual sets to skip the “finish him” part, and this game has the supers AND the stage transitions on top of it. Too much down time.
I’m worried about Batman’s super. That closeup lets you know his super is coming. And it’s a reversal super.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
So why the hell would anyone attack him after they saw that big ass closeup animation?
Any input the opponent commits to before the super will still happen, so it should still hit like any counter super, most of them have a tell, this is just flashier(easier for noobs to see, but that will only be if you have missed the move in the first place, and honestly if they are the type to still attack an obviously countering opponent, they need the help) .
The only difference between it is that it may be more punishable (so was cages but it still works) on whiff, and the opponent will have a second of damn, i’m screwed before being hit.
So don’t worry the closeup should have no effect, it will all rely on the startup frames anyway. If those take forever we have reason to be worried. At least that is my view, i’m not exactly the most advanced player, so I could be way off base.
The stage hazards look very situational and gimmicky and seem to do very little damage, I doubt most players will even bother with them during tournament play. Not to mention they will be"limited"in their use during a round or match so I expect their frequency to become even less persistent during matches. The stas transitions might become a issue due of their length but hopefully a skip button is available or the option to remove hazards altogether like the no blood code.

Which is fine which means we can avoid having to deal with “final destinations” because the stages would not have a big impact in higher-level gameplay. I agree on the skip stage transition for the sake of not delaying tourney gameplay, but disagree on removing stage transitions completely. Its part of the gameplay, unlike unnecessary fatalities/blood. It would be similar to removing Ring Outs in SCV or finite corners in 2d fighters. It would be deja vu of how “tourney gems” were not used in tourneys.
Defeats the point of the evo showcase on stage interactions (Which they tried to show how it would not break the balance of the game since they are pretty much portable combo extenders and not just giving 1 fat damage count)
eerily… ‘civil warish’
The stage hazards is suppose to act as an extension of a characters moveset, not be huge damage dealers. It’s up to the player to activate the the hazard. It’s no big deal the way it is now.
I think that’s Nightwing
The symbol on the bottom right corner matches Nightwing and whoever is on the left screen is a white male(probably) with short dark hair.
Do you think it will be like walls in tekken?
Nightwing and Cyborg confirmed!!!
Guess that means the Raven/Cyborg/Deathstroke rumor is looking legit
A lot of Batman characters. We already “know” Joker is in, cause he shows up in Batman’s computer and has a detailed model, and Catwoman is possible, she was in MKvsDC and will be in the next movie, but I really hope she doesn’t get in.
Finally, more Escrima Staff usage!
