Impressed with the game, like what 'm seeing. Game status went from “meh, i’ll rent it for a weekend” to “following the progress on this game until release”
Also: The crowd in the video (and myself) got an erection at seeing Grundy Gameplay (That shit was satisfying and brutal without the need of over excessive blood/gore)
Wow, that’s a lot of cinematics going on, but the game looks really fun. Flash super was mad hype.
I wish Marvel had attempted something like this instead of licensing its characters to Capcom.
Well to be fair, the cinematics were not that long that it ruined it for me (If i can handle some of the more lengthy Marvel 3 and AE cinematics, I can deal with this without being turned off)
What I suggest is a toggle option to **SKIP **Cinematics at a touch of a button and just fast foreword to the next Stage tier/end of Super. Something to appease the competition scene that Mike Z did similar with his game
Skullgirls solved this for their more lengthy Level 3 Supers (Double/Valentine) in the upcoming patch version
Whoa, Skull Girls is adding a skip option for some of their level 3s? Interesting…I hated accidentally doing Val’s level 3 in training. For some reason when it cut to her face hovering above the operating table my Xbox would lag and it would be stuck there for what felt like forever.
If that’s happening I’d embrace a skip option for Injustice. I really don’t mind the transitions and supers but if it’s there I wouldn’t really be against it either, lol.
Valentine specifically has the skip option during the cinematic start, while Double is like 5x faster ( I can’t make a sandwich anymore during the cinematic). This is all post-patch (roughly 2 weeks after evo if all goes well). Funny how that game has these little innovations to make tourney play much easier.
Back on topic, Yes a **Skip option (press a button at the start of cinematic and Bam! Gameplay is resumed with the proper damage taken, thus keeping the flow of the game intact) **would be a great addition in my eyes for both casuals (who want to go awe during the action cinematics) as well for tourney players who just want to continue the gameplay. If a game like Skullgirls can pull it off then their is no excuse a game such as this could not implement this since its in earlier development stages
Lol, thanks for the heads up dude. That’s pretty awesome. I main Double (and admit, play some Val on the side) so yeah this is a pretty cool implementation.
Yeah a skip option would be good. I mean, the first few times you play this game it’s going to be fun to watch all of the cut scenes and cinematics, but it’ll get old pretty quick.
Looks like an interesting game.
…I never get tired of seeing Val’s lvl 3 >_>
I’d be okay with skipping the stage transitions, i’d rather the supers stay though, just personal preference
I don’t think stage transitions are happening anywhere near as often as they did in that presentation. Do they even cost meter to intitiate?
Supers you’re probably not gonna see much, just like in MK. Too many other potential uses for the meter.
^^ That and that. It was a presentation, you gotta show off the features. If you can only think about playing a game in the exact way shown in a presentation then… well your not very imaginative lol.
Most likely specific characters will have a decent set up for a certain stage area and people who play them will try to get to that area. Thats what I am expecting 95% of stage transitions to be.
skip for supers is kind of tricky anyways, it can have other unintended effects. For stage transitions it’d be fine, since you’re apparently going to preset positions anyways.
I’ll be ok if they just shorten the stage transitions. The elevator brawl doesn’t need to last as long as it does. Ditto with being kicked through buildings
Fuck a skip button for supers!
I want my opponent to sit there and get salty while his characters gets owned. Giving him some skip button is lame. If you don’t wanna see a super animation then don’t get hit damn it.
I’m in the camp for only skipping stage transitions which I really doubt we’ll see much of anyway.
No, you misunderstand. Only the player who executes the landed super/stage transition has the option to skip via a button press.
im sure the game will be fun and all, but it doesnt look like a competitive fighting game.
Everyone thinks like that at first.
After a couple hundreds of matches they always change their minds.
So, it looks like old green lanterns will be done away and new ones will take their place
