For Grundy’s Power Chain, I can get the second part of B,F, but I can only get the final D,F part sometimes. When exactly should I be doing the command, and also, do I need to do the D,F in the direction hes facing or the direction he started from since he switches sides during the second part.
I generally try to have an arrow type loaded in my quiver at all times, depending on the match-up, my position on screen, or whatever. I think Arrow can out zone rushers, and rush down zoners, and the inverse is true, zoners out zone him and rushers out rush him. So I pick my spots and change my tactics. I use fire arrows to knock down deathstroke and then get close, or use ice to trap him, either way, I can’t win full screen vs guys like deathstroke and sinistro. But Arrow’s damage isn’t that great, he can get around 30% with no arrows loaded off a jump in, which isn’t bad but not the greatest.
You made a remark in a thread without giving context, talking about spamming Deathstrokes and skill, saying that people online are playing the character because they lack skill to play another. Regardless of your intention, what you said implies that such a choice of strategy has something to do with skill, or lack thereof, and that’s not how the word ‘skill’ is used here.
I was defining ‘skill’ for you, as it is normally used on SRK, so you wouldn’t make the same mistake again. And jesus, since when did Sirlin have a monopoly on that idea?
This is where the sentiment part comes in. You have no idea what the motivations for using the character are. You didn’t conduct a poll or anything hard and fast, so to say that your opinion as to Deathstroke’s prevalence is a fact is more than a bit silly.
There you go with that word again. You’re conflating execution barriers with skill.
It didn’t need to be posted to begin with. And yes, it did necessitate a response. Shit that sounds scrubby gets called out. That’s how it works here. Get used to it.
u mad?
I read a comment that has been said many times, for many games, and 99/100 times it is a complaint, and complaints of that nature are toxic. You have to remember that intentions cannot be divined through the internet, nor can tone be inferred easily, so it’s shoot first, ask questions later here, bub. If such statements stand without rebuke, it is a tacit encouragement of them. You said something that sounded scrubby as fuck, don’t get mad that somebody called you on it. You worded your statement just like a scrub would. I’m serious, I’ve seen that exact formula many, many times: “Everyone just picks X because Y is easy to spam and they don’t have the skill to be good with anyone else.” Rather than running your mouth about how everyone misunderstood/misread you, maybe you should go back, read what you wrote again, and then try to figure out why everyone thinks it sounded like bitching. You might learn something.
Um, yeah. WE DA BEST. That’s what you’re talking about, right?
Eh, it depends on who is using it. It’s just another word for “low risk/high reward,” hence “cheap,” and nobody who uses it that way means anything negative by it. The problem with scrubs is that they overuse the term, applying it to everything and everybody, and they’re mad about it.
Green Lantern feels like the best char in the game thus far ( for fun, check out his jump light. infinite active frames, and his aa is def the best in the game, dat range!)
True. Most of the time it’s used though (At least for me) it’s just another adjective to highlight something that is good, not literally a scrub crying about tactics.
That relates to no point I made and refutes nothing I said. Again, I was just pointing out why they are so many Deathstrokes online. I didn’t venture any opinion on fireball spam or the people who use it. If you can’t reply to what people actually say then you shouldn’t be posting.
No. It is not correct that only scrubs call something cheap. The word only has negative connotations when it’s used wrongly like so many words. It’s called context. “Cheap” just means something that is easy to do, can be spammed (another context word) and / or is safe. Fighting games are full of cheap moves and characters. There’s nothing wrong with pointing that out. People like you who try and demonise words in all contexts are as bad as scrubs.
See above comment which applies to you too.
Also, it appears we have another person who can’t actually read what is there but who put words into people’s mouths and / or replies to voices in his head instead of what is actually there.
Online is full of low level players who use those moves. That’s just a simple observation. How does that equate to me saying only low level players use moves like that?
The more you people post, the worse you make yourselves look and show yourselves to be on the same level as scrubs.
I made a simple factual observation that people online flock to cheap characters with simple, easy moves because they lack the skill to use the better characters. If you can’t read that simple observation that anyone who has played games online knows without spewing pre-programmed garbage about scrubs and cheapness which doesn’t relate to anything I said, then you need to have your posting privileges taken away.
I’m used to idiots on the Internet banging their keyboards and trying to start arguments because they don’t like what other people say, but doing that because of things I didn’t say is stupid beyond belief.
over on TYM they’re arguing about Doomsday. One side says he is absolutely horrible, and the other says he is top tier due to consistantly doing 20-25% combos and his corner game.
Also, he has a lot of weird properties on his attacks. Some combos won’t land unless you start with a really late jump in, and late jumping heavy has a huge hitbox and depending on when you throw it out, can open up some different combos.
this seems to be his best non super combo, and requires corner and 1 meter:
No it didn’t. I know what I said and your words bore no relation to mine whatsoever.
No, I didn’t. I pointed out a simple observation. There you go again making stuff up because you said something stupid and got called out on it.
We have already established you have a problem reading. The context is there - you just didn’t see it. We were talking about characters online and I chimed in about Deathstroke.
I didn’t imply anything. I made a simple observation and you replied with a load of nonsense that didn’t relate to anything I said because you were too hasty to actually read what I said. Instead you skimmed and replied to what you thought I said.
You’re the one who made the mistakes as we have established.
I know what I said because I said it. You have spent copious paragraphs trying to backtrack out of the fact you replied to what I said with irrelevant rubbish.
That’s not sentiment. It’s a factual observation which anyone who has played games online would know. And like all your posts so far your reply has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.
There you go again, trying to extricate yourself from the mess you made when you first replied to me with nothing that related to anything I said.
Not only does that have nothing to do with what I said, but it has nothing to do with what you originally said.
First you read what I said wrongly and replied accordingly, now you’re actually trying to respond to what I said by semantically trying to find fault with the words to regain the points you felt you lost when you got called out for what you did in the first place.
The more you post, the more ridiculous you look and the more you clutter this thread with nonsense.
All you are doing is highlighting to everyone the kind of feeble keyboard warrior you are. Your actions are so recognisable to anyone who has posted on the web, they are painful.
It did need to be posted to start with because it was a valid contribution to the thread, unlike anything you have posted.
You being a keyboard warrior stereotype who can’t reply to what he is reading and who tries to make out people said something they didn’t doesn’t make anyone else a scrub. It just makes you the kind of web poster who is worse than scrubs. It doesn’t ‘work like that here’. It’s just people like you with personality problems who behave like that everywhere.
We’ve already established you’re the mad (in every sense) one. Your posts are proof of that.
You didn’t read my comment. You read a comment that had words in it that set you off like a lunatic and had you writing gibberish that didn’t make any sense in response. If you had taken the time to read it properly and weren’t so bitter and twisted you didn’t give it a meaning it didn’t have, you wouldn’t have made a fool of yourself in the first place and we wouldn’t be having this conversation now.
And not ‘everyone’ thought it sounded like bitching. Just a handful of bitter SRK clones. One guy even responded and pointed out your type were trying to make something out of it that wasn’t there.
No. But then we’ve already established you don’t understand words.
Please do reply to every separate word in this post with a paragraph of text. It should at least keep you busy for long enough for some other people to post something sensible and bury your nonsense.
