the online lobby looked pretty interesting. they probably will include an in-game chatroom and nameable lobbies like in mk9 and mk vs dcu. but yeah, when i finally get my hands on the game, i’m gonna play in training mode for a while, and then see if i can spectate and possibly play a match to test everything out.

I don’t understand how they managed to make MK9’s netcode so much worse than MK:Deceptions, which was like 8 years earlier, and one of the first online fighters. I mean it wasn’t great, but it was playable.

the people at TYM have stated that the netcode is much better, but we shall see.

Worst case scenario, it will be rough the first couple of days like any new game.

Haha I always preorder my shit the weekend before. Never usually a reason to preorder early imo. But when I heard about the walmart deals last week it was ready for preorders so hopefully it still is.

I never played any of those games online, but I have heard that the netcode was only good because they kinda cheated and changed the properties of moves when you played online, people have described it as a “magical wonderland”, things felt smooth because they removed all the startup and recovery on moves or something, I’m not sure what exactly they did.

No one can answer how much better or compare it to another game’s netcode?

seeing as nobody can play it online yet, no. And as mentioned like a million times in this thread, the people at TYM have stated it is better than the MK9 netcode.

Light=1, Medium=2, Heavy=3, Trait=4, Meter =5

First option -

B+3 is the universal wall bounce
F+3 is the universal overhead ground bounce

You can hold down 3 and charge the attack.

While charging you can dash backwards or forwards, canceling out of the attack

While charging, before the attack comes out, if you hit 5, it gives you armor. This cost one bar of meter

You can use this armor to absorb hits from incoming attacks including thrown objects.

You can also dash cancel after giving the move armor, before attacking, you keep the armor for a few frames but no attacks comes out.

Second option -

You can cancel a normal or a string into an armored wall bounce or ground bounce. This cost 2 bars of meter.

FF+5, or QCF+5 for an armored ground bounce
BB+5, or QCB+5 for an armored wall bounce
Both inputs work

This is useful to combo strings and normals into a bounce that usually can’t be combo, or to prevent your opponent to interrupt your offense with pokes.

You can do a dash after the input to dash forward or backwards, canceling the attack. Applying mx-ups or making things safer.

Yeah, even if this place gets it’s own forum and stuff…TYM will still be the preferred destination for all things MK and Injustice.

No problem. One thing I forgot to add is that you only have one hit of armor, just like a Focus attack, so multi-hitting moves like Batman’s batarange, which hits twice, or fast jabs will break the armor and you will get stuffed.
