I think you’re missing my point. I don’t mind change as long as they don’t completely change who that character is.
Batman having a son hasn’t torn down that much from what I remember. Damien is a badass character and pretty interesting with countless stories to be told with him because of his limitless potential.
BTW shitty writing in the past is no excuse for such drastic changes in character’s PERSONALITY especially when reaction to the changes has been so overwhelmingly negative.

Hey people, whats everyone’s thoughts on Injustice not having MK’s hold to block mechanic? Will this make the game easier to play on an arcade stick, because I always found MK to be easier on pad…?
I would have played this on the pad regardless. And no block button means that a concerted effort is being made to seperate it from MK9 in some regards…which is good.
Yeah it does look as if its going to be more of a pad oriented game like MK, I was just throwing the idea out there because I’m one of those people who struggles to stay good on both types of controllers. Meaning if I play a pad game and get good at it my skill using a stick for another game is likely to suffer. First world problems I guess.
Yeah, I’m glad NRS has made Injustice more in line with most 2d fighters. Really looking forward to it more than I was now that I know its hold back to block
It was the holidays, Christmas to new years, no one release stuff during this time because the gaming media is on break.
Anyway, game comes out in like 4 months, doesn’t really matter what they show at this point, and waiting waiting for media on this game is pointless because they want to show as little as humanly possible, so expect a couple more trailers scattered across the next couple months.
There weren’t a real reveals well before the holidays(for me, Dec 21-Jan 2).
4 months doesn’t mean shit, thats no excuse to leave your fans in the dark like this.
I’m just trying to figure out what their reasoning could possibly be, there is no way this is going to help the game sell any better, this game will sell itself because of what it is, and a few gameplay vids here and there wouldn’t hurt anyone. Just feels like NRS is bullshitting, especially with trolling on twitter(more than usual it feels).
MK9 didn’t even have this much BS regarding reveals and MK has a history of this sort of stuff and actual easter eggs and secrets(not saying this game won’t have any but I doubt it will have anything fantastic).
Even in the reveals they do show they really don’t show anything, a few moves and short combos, and a super if we’re lucky.
I’m still gonna buy it without a doubt, and it’s going to be fucking awesome, I just wish they could have some kind of regular updating, it would at least help build hype.
I have no idea why there so tight lipped, maybe WB marketing department set up stuff long in advance and wants them to strictly stick to it.
There are four months until the game is out, and only half the roster has been revealed yet. Even worse is the one video they are releasing in mid January is not a reveal, its a Dev diary based on the Red Son pre order bonus, which is completely retarded, and really sleezy as its basically just a Gamestop Ad.
Yeah NRS is kinda like WWE in that way. In that the only way to show them you want better build is for people stop supporting the product. But if you do that then they may just make less good stuff and have to phone it in because they won’t have as much resources.
To be fair, this is more of a WB issue than an NRS issue. WB is the publisher here, which means Marketing is their responsibility. Even if they have given NRS developmental cart blanche and are staying totally hands off, they definitely have an army of media guys and they are definitely getting progress builds. If they wanted to shove this game down our throats they could do it easy, but thats just not how WB Interactive rolls, I mean, does anybody even know what Rocksteady (one of the hottest dev houses in the industry) is working on right now? Maybe some TMNT thing, maybe Arkham? Who knows? And its the same story with all their properties. LOTR, Lego, Harry Potter, etc. When was the last time you saw a trailer for one of them?
Thats what I mean, its absurd. They haven’t even addressed the gigantic deliberate loose ends they left in AC. First the sequel talk, then the harley DLC that came out of nowhere, then tmnt rumors, then a prequel, now jla. Its maddening. In about 30 seconds on google, I could tell you every shithouse incremental title EA or Activision is planning to crap out this year.
Well on the netplay standpoint, last time on MK9 when asked about the netcode prerelease they took their time to take pot shots at Capcom’s mediocre attempts…and then came out with an even worse netcode than anything we had seen from a non-SNK company. I would definitely be standoffish on that level.
As for the single player content while I can understand from a FG player perspective why it would look stupid…people need to get over it. Injustice will get as many FGC sales regardless of single player content and they need sales elsewhere.
Not to mention people are comparing it to MK9 for god knows what reasons other than the fact NRS is making it.
