Not so happy about the change … and mostly agree with what have been said !
1)TC fixed is nice but I already got used to only st MP
2)faster hozanto will hopefully make it easier to do it on reaction against fireball… but they said a “little easier” so how faster is it ??
lp hozanto safe on gief and hawk … as guy is trying to avoid close contact in this match up, don’t know if this was necessary …
3)may be we’ll be able to try U2 more often without fearing a big punishment … and if the recovery is short enough, may be punish the escape jump or backdash of the opponent
4)bushin flip grab … smart players didn’t feared this move a lot … especially crouchers and turtlers !! so I don’t get the reason of the nerf …
5)faster slide … I red the thread and couldn’t find what slide they are talking about ? shadow kick ? 2HK ? faster start up ? less recovery ?
6)overhead in 2 hits … don’t know about this really … I always use this move at max range so crouchers don’t think they can be hit by something and because the move is slow. From this range, I don’t think it will have 2 hits …
I think I would prefer solid normals and AA, close HK not whiffing so much … I mean just a few things …
If guy doesn’t get better, let’s hope his bad matchup will be more fair (I’m thinking about the charge characters ^^)

on another note, i completely agree with what mikey said. the sagat matchup may be different now though due to his “back to vanilla” buffs (except TS recovery, we had ways around that anyway though)
And whenever I make a referral to something it ALWAYS goes back to his early iterations like everyone else has made. To the point I’m pretty sure everyone on the forums knows anything I say that Guy always did was from Alpha.
Idk about the Sagat thing but the only main threat is his lk and that the only Tiger Knee he will use is lk since the rest are unsafe… his Tiger Uppercut may be damage buffed but we dont know the details. It still may be 5-5 and of course things may change so who knows.
Don’t know if you all heard, but one of the guys that was doing the testing/reporting ended up getting kicked out because someone he was with brought a Polaroid camera as big as a Gamecube. Haw haw. This is the same guy that stated that Guile’s SB didn’t build meter any more… which was proven false by another source… and the one that said Guy’s hitstun was/wasn’t better.
Good riddance, I say. His facts sounded so wishy-washy that I wasn’t sure what to believe. For all we know, Guy could have the fastest walk-speed in the game right now and he wouldn’t have known the difference. That said, make sure that you guys take everything you read about Guy’s changes with a grain of salt, for two reasons:
1.) There is absolutely no guarantee that any of the changes, either good or bad, will make it into the final version of the AE. Guy could easily turn around and be as awesome as A1 Guy, or they could Gen him.
2.) The person doing the reporting might be a brainless twat.
No disrespect to those who go out of their way to do it for us, but really, if you’re going to do something, make sure that when you say something as dramatic as that you are actually sure that you know what you’re saying. When someone else comes in that was there and states that they didn’t know what the hell you were talking about regarding one of your “facts,” it might be time to try something else in your spare time. All that really does for the community is piss us off.
what the fuck… why does cody need to walk that fast? so now he’s gonna have a good walk speed and a fast dash? cody’s SUPPOSED to walk slow. it’s a part of his laziness persona. a slight tweak to make his walk speed slightly faster is fine… but in no way should he be faster than guy… at all. also… the thing about strong and fierce versions of flip grab not working on standing opponents… is just stupid… who lands flip grabs from that far anyway… completely unnecessary change.

Yeah… I’m hoping that person was just off his rocker or something cause if Cody being around Viper speed… is way to good. Guy should be that speed. Cody can be at least Guy’s current Walk speed if anything.
This will be a wall between good players and guy scrubs… but what i don’t like is that now you have to choose between counter a wakeup shoryuken or grab someone who forgot to duck. (yes, when you play at not-evo-level you grab people on wakeup quite a few times).
With the damage nerf this may render the bunshin flip not worth the risk-reward. I hate this feeling.
I hope it becomes at least 150… and that it changes back to its old ways cause… all 4 versions grabbed on ground, and its been that way ever since with Guy in general.
Granted only EX and LP were ever used to catch standing anyways unless you psychic whatever your opponent was doing to catch him at 3/4 screen or full screen anyhow.
I wish there was more info on how the bushin grabs range was nerfed perhaps now it wont grab everywhere below the flip only back or exactly below him…the range wasnt too much to begin with it was 0.6? or something …AFAIK in alpha he could only grab from behind but in SSF4 even if you are in front of him you will teleport behind him and the grab animation is played out …its actually looks wierd but then again alot of ultras use camera tricks as well…
but damn i dont think the grab range/damage nerf is necessary since he cant combo into it anymore…or are they considering adding that lol?
all bushin flips should remain the way they are currently in Super. even though i dont like it, i do support a small damage nerf to it in the name of being fair (200 IS a little much honestly… ). 150/160 sounds perfect. thats just as much as cammys hooligan and akumas demon flip throw. this crap about mp and hp not being able to grab a standing opponent is garbage.
no wayy… i won’t be able punish fireballers with an HP flip throw? that is sadness. its not like people don’t already jump back HK when i use a HP flip throw… now i don’t even know when i’ll be able to use it.
Anti Air is our only option… Mainly to catch jump backs I guess… against Fireballs I would use HP Hozanto now since its faster… plus with the damage nerf on Bushin flip being 120… unless it goes to 150 I see no reason to use HP bushin flip anymore if it even goes back to its trademark hitbox.

On a guy note…
If guy is at 0 frame advantage after lp hozanto then that definitely means he can do U1 in the corner WITHOUT wasting bar…I hope it stays…
