i did a quick test in training mode and i managed to catch ryu’s frame trap mp srk, so to answer your question, yes it should work. but it’s also extremely situational and tbh i don’t think something as small as 3 vs 4 invincibility frames are really relevant in this case
Oh yeah Blanka actually can beat it but… normally a guy player wouldn’t Safejump Blanka anyways. Only people that can beat this are Blanka, Rufus and Sakura. I’m not sure if Rose would have enough time to do Soul Throw. Everyone else with a DP like move would lose to it if timed correctly.
Doesnt jumping off the ground have few startup frames itself??.. not to mention the Ex izuna is activated only after you are off the ground…
Also the reason he caught adon was because i believe adons RJ has 5f invinc but its not throw invinc…I cant tell what version the adon player used…but this seems to be the logical reason why it worked…
I think kiryu was predicting a Jaguar Kick and thats why he did the TK izuna…but he caught the RJ anyway lol…
so should we compile some questions so Guy players who have access to AE can test for us? I’ve seen some other sub forums doing that.
I just want confirmation on fixed TC, more range on U2 and faster hozzanto. Also wondering if cr.hk is faster
If I get a chance to play it I’ll test the hitbox on TC… testing range on U2 would be difficult.
Of course, by the time Im gonna get to play it, im sure 99% of the stuff in it will be figured out.

I’m excited to see Guy’s changes. Took a long time off from SSF4 because I was frustrated, then realized that while SSF4 Guy is indeed terrible… I was losing partially due to my own faults as a player. Working on solving those, and already my win-rate with Guy has been improving (from near-zero to… well, something better than near-zero) because I’ve been fixing what’s wrong with me while Capcom works on fixing Guy. Once he’s actually a decent character, things will be a lot more fun.

Woah. More hitstun on the close s.MK nice. s.MK actually has a really nice start up for catching delayed throw techs, so it’s definitely worth using.
Could be a good sign though… it might mean that Capcom did cut off Run-stop recovery by 1-2 frames (hence, necessitating a nerf on the cs.MP hitstun).
Every time this gets ‘confirmed’ a little bit lights up inside me. Run stop pressure will never be the same again.
A single buff that significantly improves a characters offensive AND defensive capabilities? Damn straight it’s impressive. Now all I need to know is that it’s still +2/+5 and all is right with the world.

Didn’t they say that Lk. Tatsu received upper body invincibility? I can’t remember exactly what was said, but I’m pretty sure it was something along those lines.
