Thanks for posting the video samkinen. Streak I noticed the not-so-bad damage on the bushin flip as well but as you say, could be low vitality. But even then, from the looks of it, 120 seems like it might not be the right number…
double post!!
I’d be fine with even 150. 120 is a bit low though.
i agree 150 i think is just right… not too much damage… but it seems right for a move that doesn’t land all the time and it’s a grab so it should do good damage.
as for the video… i agree with str[e]ak… it could’ve been my eyes playing tricks on me… but jab shoulder looked a little faster. especially at 2:01… if it is faster … and far st. strong xx jab shoulder combos without CH… that’d be a big buff in my opinion, but this is wishful thinking haha.
Main wishes would be faster walking speed, mp>hp target combo to hit crouchers (mp hits, makes opponents stand up) and tatsu to hit on both sides.
Wishful thinking I know… :razzy:
at 1:06 i dont think they changed bushin flip…just look at the rang and dmg…looks like the same as before
TC has been fixed :x
MP>HP combo does that now, only because it was obviously a design flaw. Those other two are somewhat of a consensus around here, although I don’t care too much about the Tatsu hitting both sides (if one were to hit both sides, make it the EX version… but then again I don’t care too much. :P)
From what I’ve been able to tell, Guy’s been getting a lot of love for this update. I’m actually getting to the point where I don’t care too much if they give him the walk speed or not; if they give him as many ways to counter and get in as I’m seeing here, he can have his same walk speed.
Still no complaints if they decide to give it to him, though.
no i’m pretty sure the damage has been nerfed. yun and yang have really low stamina. watch this video…

at around 40 seconds in… yun gets hit with a st. rh and j. rh… and loses quite a bit of health. granted they were both counterhits… but it’s still a ton of health to lose in 2 hits. so flip grab on yang just looked like it did a ton of damage due to his low stamina. but it definitely doesn’t look like it was nerfed down to 120.
WOW. This is looking to be some Seth-level stamina for those two. Holy cow.
Great, thanks for the info guys! (pun intended)
So glad about the MP>HP target combo thing, I felt that Guy needed that little something extra for the hold down back brigade.
God, you couldn’t be more right about that. When Super first came out, everyone thought Guy was useless because turtling supposedly shut down everything he did. 'Course, that’s when it hit them that they couldn’t win off of holding down+back the whole round… especially if you have the life lead, hahaha. My favorite thing to do against turtlers is get a slight life lead, then go back a ways and do nothing. Signify that the ball is in their court now. Nothing forces your opponent to make more mistakes than forcing them to come to you.
agreed, but its character dependant lol. if it was me, i wouldnt let rufus or akuma come to me. screw that, they can rush down too hard lols
Bahaha, well, I was implying that it would be a character that used turtling as their main strategy. Still, I have seen my fair share of Akuma and Rufus players try to turtle it out… for… some reason.
Akuma i can understand turtling because he can lame it out pretty well with fireballs and telports…Rufus…yeah i have no clue how rufus can lame it out lol…maybe cr.hp / Snake Strikes / cr.mp > ive got no idea lol
Never underestimate the audacity of online play.
I would really love it if they changed the input for command elbow from down to downback.
theres no real reason for that…besides, the command has always been just down
The reason would be to make it easier to execute, I see plenty of top Guy players miss it more than they should, and changing the input would make that moot.
8 way gate makes it hella easy.i almost never miss it and i use square gate…its not too big of a deal
