best team ATM will consist of really good point character then vergil and magneto on the same squad.
point character lands a hit, TAC mixup into magneto, magneto builds 5 bars for vergil, vergil comes in after the 1st character dies fully loaded, swords for pin into a mixup, if the mixup hits which it should since you have 5 fucking bars to keep going till you land one, you can just TAC mixup into magneto again, build back the meter and draw out time, kill the character tag back vergil into another sword mixup.
there is literally nothing you can do against this strategy other to not get hit or break a TAC which is random as fuck to begin with.
and its more than just modok leveling up. Phoenix leveled up, dante is higher on the tier list, doom\storm are moving up, wesker for sure is going to keep his place, sentinel is a lot higher now. The characters that can perform 3 way TAC infinites are definitely the ones going to go up the highest.
this game is pretty fucked ATM. Overnight the entire game changed. I’m sure it will be patched but Capcom already said no patches till after the year is over with. So for the next 6 months, expect infinites and crazy ass pins that lead to broke mixups that lead to random ass TAC’s ftw.
with this particular glitch, vergil is 1000x more effective. He may have a hard time landing the infinite himself but he can stack 2 characters on his team that allow him to TAC into more infinites and he already fucking loves magneto beam.
mvc2 had that shit where it was don’t get hit but for 99% of the mixups, you could actually see where to block. If your eyes were fast enough, you could always attempt a block but in this game, its random as dog shit. Literally every character is almost viable now because you can play shit character on point with TAC infinites behind him and now the character is a 1 hit kill. Some scrub shit like hulk on point could win EVO because it doesn’t matter, 1st character just has to get a hit and that is all it takes.
The main reason this gltich was overlooked was because of the system manipulation it took. Whoever figured it out really understood the rules of the game to allow this to happen. It was pretty genius actually. Combining all of those little tricks to make an infinite and break the game wide open was pretty technical.
Is sentinel’s infinite only possible off the down tac? I’ve been trying to get sentinel to the ground off a up and side exchange, but there doesn’t seem any way for him to do it.

I’m thinking it was accidental? If the original Trish vid from that mexican guy is any indication (sorry, I forget his name), it looks like he just tried to find a rejump sequence, and it just happened to meet the all requirements needed for it to work (everything flows pretty naturally).
However, once there was an example to pick apart, everyone could examine it and figure out the requirements, and now we have infinites all over the place.
Accidental or not, major props to him (or whoever will claim to be the first), because it’s a pretty rad/hilarious find, especially right before EVO! :tup:
This is the thing, I’m not sure if I should be excited as hell or bored as fuck when watching these matches and its just infinite loops over and over. I’m glad tech is still being discovered though. Took less than 10 years to figure these out
