Infinite floodgates opening

If theres a tier beyond S, Magneto and Dorm

Haha just kiddin’. I think the for now the only TACs i’m seeing are down, or extremely hard to convert off of if side/up, the infinite in and of itself isn’t that big of a deal yet.

The entire cast gets an infinite off a down TAC? Great, i’m just going to mash down all day like I used to do anyway, no infinites for anyone!

But then you get characters that can do it off multiple sides, or maybe just 2, thats when it gets a bit scary.

To TLDR what I thought about posting: Zero/Chun/Morri/Spiderman become quite a bit better as they can set up the XF-less TAC glitch, and practically guarantee themselves a down exchange into infinite ( Yes, you can indeed get around this TAC glitch but honestly…what? Who does that? No one is TAC glitching yet, so for now, no one is going to do this wait for the 1st TAC BS, if you find someone that can do that, just fucking down TAC them straight. In a 2/3 or 3/5, I doubt people are going to catch on )

Then of course you have actual TACers rising in value. Sent of course, MODOK, I mean anyone that has this is of course jumping up a bit in real estate.

Also, the viability and value of the best middleman/2nd slot in the team expands to a much larger variety of characters now, instead of Doom or install super yser being the fall-back choice for best. Also allows for Doom to be put more willingly in the back, since the benefits of his TAC are no longer so unique. Rise in Doom anchor users ( wouldn’t be surprised if I saw this, Shady K and FChamp along with several others are actually showing some pretty good results ) result in rise, or at least increase of people having a pocket keepaway anchor to shut down Doom.

TLDR: I’m really awful at TLDRing, so you can hold my wall of texts deep in that chest bruh

If it takes this TAC stuff for people to realise how good Modok is then that’s pretty sad.

Dunno if that was directed at me, but I wasn’t implying that MODOK was on Sents level at all. I was just mentioning MODOK because his TAC has some particularly nice benefits attached to it.

yeah that would be pretty sick, do however many hits u need, insta lvl 5 (even though there are many ways of gettin insta lvl 5 atm).

My question is, why the hell are these just popin up now? Seriously a TAC which sadly is a major mechanic in this game followed by these infinits that are comin out of the woodwork. We’ve known forever now about the no hitstun after a tac, what prevented this tech to not have been found way sooner than this?

Because we also “knew” that HSD comes back in once you land.

I play people that do the TAC glitch, it’s really not that difficult. There’s also this one which does basically the same thing:

Probably the SFA3 part of canceling the landing frames and fooling the game to think you are still in the air.

PS.: He’s talking about me

For those trying Storm why not just do float cancel h after you hit the ground? Should be pretty lenient

it because you land and hitstun comes back. and because you cant keep them in the air with only float j.h. you gotta do crouch h to keep them in the air long enough to hit them with the next float h.

Ok this may be a slightly strange place to ask, but I never learned how Zero cancels TACs. How does he actually perform an X-factorless TAC trick? I know Morrigans, but not his haha.

just dash as soon as you tac and he will dash cancel it. its the same as morrigans and anyone else who can do it. just dash.

Because literally nobody realize was possible** to land and trick** the game’s HSD into believing that two characters are in the air. This shit probably did existed in Vanilla, and it would have been discovered at some point in time.

AKA TAC was gamebreaking infintes from the very beginning of time.

Sweet Jesus, let there be ones for Doom, Strider and Firebrand.

I would love to troll people with infinite arc swoops and multiple dragons.

It would be Salt Lake City.

Probably will be for all 3 considering their air movement, I forsee Firebrand’s being particularly difficult though.

a friend of mine is working on a strider one. But he deemed it too difficult, I think.

Nah it wasn’t. Just a general comment.

I tried something for Strider too, although it’s not fully working yet.
I’ll try something different later but I’ll share what I have atm anyway:
(delay a bit after the TAC) > j.LMH > M.Excalibur (should land 1 hit or 2) > j.M > dj > j.M > j.H (with a little delay between to reach the ground) > j.M > j.H > M.Excalibur

For some reason, he can only combo after M.Excalibur if it doesn’t land every hit : /
I’m also working on a Viper infinite.

X23 has one has well but difficulty is INSANE!! unless i was doing it wrong which i dont think i was as i have an understanding of how the Infinite glitch works it should have worked but the execution is impossible hard.

If you feel like trying it go ahead: down tac into either Whiffing down H in which case you do Talon-M into H, Jump M H down H Talon-M M H jump repeat. If you dont whiff the down H you have to do Talon-M into M then H and then repeat.

Morrigan has an Infinite as well. have not seen a video but i managed to do it myself but could only do 2-3 reps

MODOK already has corner TACs in every direction that build 9 cubes and kill people, and they’re MUCH easier to do… So I’m not sure that this infinite is even something that MODOKs will be going for (unless there is a much easier variation)

Midscreen though, it would really make a difference… I’m pretty sure he can do it, it’s just a matter of figuring out the best and most reliable sequence.
