Dude, these infinites are so fucking boring after the hype died out. And they’re easy as fuck too. They’re not even close to what ROM used to be and they are much, much better. When you have so many top players saying that these infinites are retarded and close to game-breaking, there’s definitely something wrong. Even MarlinPie who loves broken stuff and execution heavy stuff said “They shouldn’t be banned, but they should definitely be patched out”, yesterday at the Break Weekly. Yipes, Justin, Combo and several other players dislike them.
PS.:I have a team that could benefit from this in retarded manners. I just don’t like them and the whole coming out of TAC shit, because it’s just another excuse for people to abuse a dumb mechanic.
Honestly, I’m glad they are gonna patch this out. It would of be nice to have it right before EVO but I suppose it can wait a while.

what are the odds of capcom fixing it with an additional balance patch to the game? as much as id like to see one to buff some of the lower tier characters i honestly think capcom doesnt really give a shit about this game anymore, apart from fixing the free costume glitch (which i still havent updated for) and also this infinite fix (which i likely wont update for either).
an actual balance patch i would actually update my console for that and give up all those free costumes.
Partially disagree. Infinites can be in. Just not these dumb-ass ones. They are way too universal to be in, coupled with a few other meter-building and damage issues.

The TAC infinites would have just turned it into a game where the first hit meant guaranteed X-23/Doom Ammy style team super unblockables that dont let you play the game from there on.
Zero/Dante is a very strong duo but you get to play the game. Mags/sent is a very strong duo but you get to play the game. Vergil/Strider is a very strong duo but you get to play the game. Wolverine/Akuma is a very strong duo but you get to play the game.They all have hard stuff to block on incoming but theyre not doing anything you have technically no answer to.
If you guys had a really good Firebrand player that had mastered the unblockable loop he has then youd be able to see how dumb actual unblockable loops are and thats what these TAC infinites would have lead to. I play Zak Bennett and the way unblockable loops just completely augment the landscape of the game, it would suck all the fun out.
Well, I guess it’s alright in X-Factor, but then again I play Deadpool so yeah. It’s just that any braindead infinites take a lot of the fun away, at least for me. One wrong guess and i’m screwed, and even if some of these aren’t the easiest, it looks overall easier to do than it was in 2.
nitsuma basically said there is a patch in the works to fix the infinite glitch.
game will be back to normal after EVO probably so this whole glitch strategy will be gone with sooner or later. I don’t think a balance patch will be included. It will more than likely be some type of engine tweak that allows the infinite to be gone. Its just that if they fix the wrong things, swag TAC combos are gone.
This new era is just really weird. 10 years ago it would of been let that shit ride but I’m sure the scrubs over @ capcomunity are crying their eyes out about this shit. If people cry hard enough, the game will change regardless of what is being addressed. Too bad we can’t get all the same cry babies to complain about the net code. They might actually redo it. shrug…
Right guys, I’m at my wits end, I don’t understand why I can’t make this work with Nemesis.
Do we know of all the exact requirements for this?
We know the landing-cancelled normal into instant jump is essential, anything else? Like a special move or time in the air? Or perhaps it’s landing frames specific.
Basically I don’t know why this completely impractical and irrelevant but fun setup won’t work:
(In the Corner) Down TAC into Nemesis > TAC Hit, j.L, j.M, j.H xx Air Rocket -> XFC (start holding up), j.H hits just as Nemesis lands it pops them up nicely, still holding up for the jump
(This is where I feel I’ve fulfilled all the known requirements)
into j.L (they pop out instantly right here as if it’s a long long combo), j.M , Air Downforward/Forward Tentacle jump loop, where the goal is for the Air Tentacle to be landing cancelled (if this jump loop turns out to be incompatible I’ve got a few others).
J.M really should connect easily off of j.L, tried on the dummy jumping and off TACs, there’s quite a lot of hitstun, it’s an easy cancel but here it just won’t work. The reason I do Rocket XFC is because it leaves the two characters in a good place for the jump loop, or so I thought.
This is really just a setup for kicks, it’s truly the epitome of useless, but god damn I want to see Nemesis having an infinite.
Any pointers? Fair chance it could be my sloppy execution as I’m transitioning to stick, but I’m holding up as soon as I X Factor and the j.L->j.M cancel is two buttons I’m using elsewhere in the combo so I doubt it.
I hate knee jerk patches as it shows that scrub casual players who dont really play these games can get their way if they complain enough. However, a patch to remove these TAC infinites is for the greater good of this game for top players and casual players alike.
