MSS-G is more defensive…MSS-A is hella offensive. My mags has gotten waay more offensive these past couple of months, so I think it suits me more. Plus it punishes assists better.
I can pull out MSS-G for you though if ya want.
We have a tentative date of August 4th or 11th for our tournament.
These are the first and second Saturdays of the month.
Let us know whats best for all. We want as many players to attend as possible.
For those who attended the last tourney, it will be in the theatre again, but on tvs, unless you want to use the projector again.
Bringing your own stick is the best route, although we will have a couple on hand should the need arise:

If you guys/gals are will to help, than please do. The game roster isn’t set in stone, although 3S and Marvel are mainstays. I would also like to include Smash this time too.

Either date works fine for me so I’ll wait for others to vote which is best for them. I should be there either way. And I don’t think anyone is going to vote no to not include the projector. The projector was a very nice touch IMO.
Last time it seemed like there was decent interest in CvS2 but that darn game takes so long to play. And of course you know I want SSF2T because I need the tune up for Evo. Tekken is another game that folks might want I guess. Basically Evo games, you know?
Knyghtfall - I don’t remember if we’ve played or not but I’m calling you out at MvC2, we’ll say first to 5 wins?
Also, for no good reason, calling out “the other Brent” in some Tekken 5 once again since we didn’t get to play last time. We can probably do that out on the T5 cabinet in the arcade. Well unless I can convince Milan to come and I’ll let him do the Tekken playing for me. 
My schedule is random so pick either one and I’ll try to make it.
The fourth is better for me personally.
I can bring at least one tv…possibly two. I can also bring a DC and a copy of marvel. PS2 and 3s is gonna have to be someone else tho.
Brent: You want it, you got it. Just don’t get hit… I’m not the only one who wants to play you again though. I’ll make sure Deryck is there to avenge his near loss…lol I dunno if I can find Tekken Brent, but if I do I’m sure he will be interested in playing you.
he also thinks hes some kind of Luigi God in Smash. Some exposure would do him a world of good.

both days are ok for me, which games are ganna be included in the tournament.
If you want it on projector get a video splitter or if you have a ps2 output with svid and yellow on it, put yellow into tv and svid into projector, thats what i usually do.

Humbag - come on out brother. We need to have 3S spiced up a bit. Last time there wasn’t alot of Indy players who joined for 3S (they are MvC2 crazy) so it was basically a Fort Wayne affair. Hopefully we can get Clem (Deadpool/Deadpoop) to come along and you can meet our best player Gary who should be there.
Gary - you better come again and defend that title.
Floyd - since you are the defending champ for MvC2 I will not be kind enough to let you go without facing off with me. However I will be kind enough to give you a chance to back out of that ST money match you agreed to last time but if you agree again we are gonna play it this time dude. :tdown:

Yeah come on out. It’ll be fun. I’ll play GG with ya although I know of no other person that has even played that game more than twice (I haven’t really played anything since XX, and I’ve dabbled with slash a few times). I’ll have Accent core by then, and I’ll be hopefully not terrible.

Btw, I assume this is all standard affair stuff with rules. 2/3 matches 3/5 finals, double elimination, no broken glitch yada yada yada right? Just wanna make sure cause the last tournament was weak on that (I got second in third and got a handshake??? That’s pretty cold), but I also know that you guys weren’t the ones running it last time.
Actually, now that I think about it, if you guys need help setting up brackets and actually running it let me know. The fort wayne peeps and yours truly can help out on that too.

We’ve basically disowned the peeps that ran it last time. That wasn’t the first tourney they screwed up. Our boss basically kept him around because he seemed knowledgeable, and was glad to be rid of the headache.
After talking to him, I realized he knew nothing about each games rules, glitches, how to run brackets etc. And yet, he and his cronies are supposed to be part of the “I.P.G.L.” Indy Pro Gamers League They started matches over for no reason, WERE WALKING IN FRONT OF THE DAMN SCREEN DURING MATCHES!!!
When He took half the money, and didn’t give out prizes for 2nd and 3rd, we avoided him like the plague. For the 2nd and 3rd place finishers, I’m sorry about what happened last time, and it will never happen again.
Hell, I even had to go and buy a PS2 with my own money so we could play 3S. He didn’t even have the equipment at all, and merely assumed everyone would bring everything.
Showed up late too. Enough rambling.

Smash is a different beast entirely, but for now standard MLG rules apply.

If you run smash, you probably better get the community in on it over on the smash forums. Sadly I don’t play, and don’t have an account even so I can’t do it…oh and if they take to your idea…expect 20-30 easy…although they tend to do well running their own thing (they seem to always get done before SF in tournaments). I didn’t put it in the tourney thread, but if you’re sure you’re down, I’ll add it. You’ll need plenty of TVs though

Same thing on Tekken really although I can post in that thread since I have an account there. I personally would drop the tekken portion however unless we can secure a PS3 with DR as that’s all people would come for I think.

Check the post and make sure I didn’t mess up anything. I put what I thought people on this site would be interested in and what I know we can run for sure due to us (Fort Wayne, Bloomington, etc) having the stuff. The thread looks good. I’m starting to see what you mean about Smash. Its a different monster all together.

This should be fun. I will see how many locals in Fort Wayne I can get to come along and hopefully we’ll have a big bash right in the center of our lovely state. Everybody bring their ‘A’ games.
