Just so everyone knows, GameWorks opens at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, and closes at 11 p.m. sharp. Our GM wants the place cleaned up and emptied by then. Those are his only stipulations.
If this goes well, it can be a regular thing.
It looks as though Tekken 5 and Smash will have to be in our next tourney. I don’t have the resources to host either game.

If I can get the day off, I’m very down for this. I’m all about ST, 3S, and CvS2, maybe Smash. Sweetness!
EDIT: I have that day off! I might need a ride though. I’ll play some money matches in CvS2, and possibly 3S and ST if I think I can really compete by then. I was soooo sloppy at the Capcomarama…remember my CvS2 at Abe’s? Hehe. Joe Higashi throw-mashers beware!
As far as equipment goes, I have two camcorders and tripods, plus an external 500GB hard drive and breakout box. If anyone has a laptop with Premiere (or something similar, whatever can vidcap) and a free Firewire (6 pin) port, I can bring an entire capture rig. I just need to know far enough in advance so I can get enough tapes if needed. Here is a .zip of the brackets that I use for tournaments. They kick much ass.
Ray - I will see how many people enter CvS2 and see how the payouts look before I decide on that one. The other 3 I am in for sure. But I mean if it’s like a 5 person round robin CvS2 tournament and winner take all, well, I’ll feel bad for taking Popoblo’s money (jokes) so I won’t enter. But if it’s a top 3 payout for double elim and I think I got a shot at maybe 3rd then I’ll join in on the fun. 
Jon - Hey I am still trying to work out the ride situation with the rest of Fort Wayne but for now let’s say that I will give you a ride. As time gets closer like maybe this weekend I’ll be sure to keep in good touch with you about stuff.

What’s the scoop on attending and just checking out the scene? I’ve never attended a tourny; or anything of that nature. I would like to get a feel of what it’s all about.

Whether you intend to prove your the shit in a particular game, or just there to augment your game, come on out. It will be time well spent.

Had to think about it for a moment; but here it goes. I want to get into the spirit of competition by experiencing what goes on at a real tourny. Last time I set foot in an arcade and played was in 2004 at a Putt-Putt in Memphis. The only experience I have in one-on-one fighting in the past three years has been online play. Plus my interest in gaming in general has been thinning over that time period.
Actually observing and asking questions in person is easier for me. If there be casuals at this tourny; I might play. I would suck; but I’d be better off learning that way than from online play. I wish I knew where there was a 3s machine near Cincy; so I could get some practice in. It would be a learning experience more than anything; and spark my interest in gaming again.
