Mario - Ya I havent been to broadripple in a long time. Honestly Id say don’t even bother learnin cvs2 coz really, noone plays it anymore. The marvel and 3rd scene in midwest is pretty small, and cvs2 is almost nonexistent anymore. Guilty gear is where its at. Kinda like a combination of marvel and
3rd. Oh ya, honestly anyone in 3rd is good, it just depends on how good you are. I witnessed Jwong at ohio recently beast on everyone with urien, without using supers… not once did he use a high damage aegis reflector combo. He just beat people with throws and j mk land cr mk… which is sick, to beat people with a 2 hit combo.

Just something I noticed…are you guys talking about having one of these tournaments each month? That’s probably going to be a bit too much. I’m telling you, bi or even tri-monthly is the way to do it for Indiana right now. People will grow bored (plus I don’t think you’ll get as much out-of-town support for each month). Keep it fresh by spacing these out.
Also does anyone know what the deal was with those 2 guys that were filming stuff on the projector? Are they going to release some footage or something?
I agree with Brent. This tourney should be about every two months. This will give regulars a chance to practice and an opportunity to save some extra cash.
Mario, please go ahead and learn CvS2, I love to play that game. It’s honestly a great game once you learn it.
Are you talking about the Challenge in February or the Championship in June? I’ve never been to the Challenge but I hear good things mostly. I’ve been to a handful of Championships (which is considered the last “major” that is played on arcade) and those are good stuff for sure. Ask around, I’m sure there are other folks who you can carpool with or they might want to carpool with you to go to one of these tournaments.

Ray - you know Indy has been invited to all of the parties since y’all wrote in last year and I came to visit that Saturday. You all will have a good time I promise, and it sounds like about all the non-Indy players that were in your tournaments will be in attendance (Fort Wayne crew of course, Dave and Eric from Bloomington should come) so it’ll be great practice and lots of fun. If that GW employee “the other” Brent comes with you then he can play Milan and Gary at some Tekken 5 and of course I’ll give him a shot.
But yeah come up cuz we play shitloads of 3S and a fair ammount of CvS2 (3S kinda took over cuz it used to be almost all CvS2). We will make sure to play lots of MvC2 if y’all come (anyone smell a team challenge? Our party usuals are undefeated in all team party challenges!!!). And hopefully someone will accompany me for a few quick games of SSF2T cuz I know hardly anyone else cares about the game.

No, not anymore. Its open for discussion though. We will pick a date that is in everyones best interest if at all possible.

We want to play Marvel - 3S - SSBM - and if we get enough interest, CvS2 and SSF2T
Our new Regional Manager visited us recently, and we have a lot of work to do before he visits again, so March might be out of the question. Only time will tell for certain though.
Just to let you guys know, we just had that Columbus tourney and we’re going to try to do another in April. I’d hope we could work it out so we don’t conflict, because I know I could get some people down to travel to another IN one, and we’d like to see IN again at our next.
