I would recommend not buying 12. I never see anyone playing it in casuals at any tourneys. I bought it brand new and the online was barely playable plus the CC system is just a poorly put together Genei Jin for all characters.
GGPO 3s is a mess. That game is just not meant to be played online. Don’t know if I even care about 3s OLE coming anymore. 4 is manageable online.
KOF12 is pretty bad, and everyone seems to say 13 plays way differently.
I remember my CC combo for Leona was hilarious, it was something like st.HP 4 or 5 times then like 6 cr.HP into a special move finisher.

i can’t guarantee yet but Gary randomly showed interest in taking a trip to Indy and the surrounding area this Saturday. i know there would be interest from a few others as well. i’ll try to find out how serious he is about it. we’d love to have some folks to play if we come.

It was just me and Kyle playing SSF4. Oh and 1 guy that would not get up from the machine when he lost lol. Atleast they fixed the 3s sticks but still too stiff after playing on Sanwa’s all this time.
Somebody should want to learn 3s so Indy and I have someone else to play.

Online 3s on ggpo is iffy but thats because its being jury rigged into being online and there are way more frames than what ggpo is designed to handle. The official port should be better simply because there won’t be any reverse engineering involved but any lag essentially cripples 3s. The main reason I am hype is because I would like to play lag free on my hdtv.
I am more willing to play 3S now that I have picked a character that I feel like I can actually make progress with. There just hasn’t been anyone hosting anything lately except for me, and I don’t usually get a ton of people out here.
Tilt is okay but their selection is pretty limited and the sticks are fucked up on like everything.
Does Tilt Indy still have the $10 unlimited Tuesday?

Hey guys, I’ve been lurking for a while but have never really posted. My buddy and I have been real in to fighting games for a while and we’d like to start branching out and play live against locals. What time do you guys get together on Tuesdays at Tilt? If people are showing up we can make it around 7:30pm since we both have 9-5 day jobs.
I’m a big 3S player but we’re both in to SSF4 as well. I play 3S on supercade.net if anyone here wants to play sometime, I go by Merk on supercade as well in case any of you have already played with me.

Your link doesn’t work, but I know what video you are talking about. Were you referring to a specific combo in the video or the whole video in general?
Also note that the GGXXAC “outstanding combo clips” on youtube are performed with a programmable controller and not necessarily good for actual match use. For example, the IAD “infinites” are essentially impossible for a human to perform due to having to input something as complex as an IAD combo repeatedly with 1-frame timing for so long.

I started to transcribe all the combos but they started using some really weird techniques and became difficult to follow. I could probably transcribe the rest of them but it would take me a really long time, and they require completely useless and impossible setups that would never ever happen even in a million matches. Even the combos in the beginning are probably beyond the capabilities of any player to perform with even the slightest bit of consistency.

They certainly are fancy though, you should check out all the Outstanding Combo videos, there’s one out there for every character and they are all filled with tool-assisted impossible shenanigans
