I’ll be giving it a go with my scrubby strider doom tron. Are the sticks on the marvel machine still kind of okay?
The sticks are okay. The buttons (concave) suck. Missing LAxxLS sucks. Going for hail and mashing until you see that it didn’t register sucks.
I don’t know why they decided to change the buttons. I had them buy those specifically for Marvel back in the day. Now they are sitting in a parts drawer. :mad: :arazz: :mad:

Marvel is gonna off the proverbial hook Tuesday… sweet… the sticks work alright for me but i grew up on JLF concave setups… definitely good practice… no foaming at the mouth people… im gonna get a bunch of footage too while i’m at it

I gotta agree with Juggs… i go to the DT comics shop on the circle… sometimes i roll out to the one in greenwood just cuz they know me there and i like to talk shop… and i also go out to the new Comic Carnival way out east sometimes, but that’s mainly to find obscure oldies like 52 or to hit on the cute comic girl

Speaking of comics, a friend of mine asked me earlier today if there were any comic book stores that buy comic books for cash. Any ideas?
I don’t know if anyone will buy them but I will say that he shouldn’t get his hopes up about making too much money off of them unless he has something that is particularly valuable. Basically, almost nothing that has been made in the last 20 years or so.
There will be TvC if anyone wants to play. I’ve got two Wii Hori Sticks and two PSX to Wii converters.
good shit today… it was good seeing everyone, nice to have you back Eric… like i said, everyone’s help is more than welcome cause i’ll definitely be needing it… Ray i dunno if you got there after i left or what-have-you but we were having a good time with Marvel man, had Rob (he was looking for you btw) credit up the machine then we went to town, it got to the point where we had a constant rotation and a crowd of onlookers… it was nostalgic let me tell you
nobody’s gonna buy comics for cash unless they are a) old, basically from the 70s b) really rare, one shots from the golden age or obscure special editions like fre comic-day comics

big EDIT: oh yeah… talked to Vic personally at Tilt today and the bottomline is, 2 interconnected AE cabs would be really expensive, and cuz of that corporated doesn’t wanna get one without signs that it’s payback y’know?.. and as i see it we have the fighter love to show, i mean if Tilt had the only AE cabs in Indy they’d be the most played cabinets for sure… so Vic says to talk about it to the clerks, call and ask for AE, the more groundswell we provoke the better chances we have of getting it

Are you familiar with the number pad notation (5 is neutral, 6 is forward, 8 is up, 236 = quarter circle forward, etc)? I could type all kinds of stuff up for you but it would be pointless if you can’t decipher it easily, in which case I can be more descriptive and use more standard street fighter notation.
The japanese version comes out on January 11 or 13 or so, it should be playable on PS3 but not 360 unless you have a modded/japanese one. If you need help importing it let me know, I think I remember you saying that you didn’t have a debit/credit card at one time, I don’t know if that’s still the case.
You might like playing Valkenhayn in BBCS, he has silly Slayer damage/combos but is much easier to use. I’ve also found a few more stable variants of the old Hazama combos we kept dropping back when it was on PC.
Also random comic book-related fact since people are talking about it: somewhere in my closet I have a box of old comics that my uncle gave me, I don’t remember what all was in it but I’m pretty sure it had volume 4 or 6 of the original xmen comic.
