I have a question for everyone. Those “Buy a FULL XBOX360 GAME” download cards they have in stores…do you need a LIVE subscription to go online and download the game you bought?
If so, then what’s the point!? Allowing people with no credit cards to still buy online titles? Help please.
Exactly. It also allows individual retailers to put the card “on sale” or do other promotions with it and such.

According to xbox.com the game is 800 points, which makes it like… 10 dollars or so, I forget the conversion. As long as you have a silver (free) XBL account you should be able to buy and download games.
I suppose if you bought the card at a store you could also avoid the trap Microsoft likes to use where they price games in such a way that you have to buy a points bundle that costs slightly more than what you actually want to buy. i just had this problem last week where bought Valkenhayn and then was about to buy Doom II but ended up with like 790 points when i needed 800 for the game. They are still sitting in my account until I can figure out a way to spend the 390 leftover points i will have when I add the minimum of 400 more points. I don’t usually buy much in the way of DLC but things like this often occur when i do, i would much prefer a normal payment system like what PSN uses.
nah you can’t DL games on a silver account… that is to say the lst time i checked… which was a ways back
Pretty sure you can buy games on Silver, you just can’t play stuff online unless you have Gold.
How about this Tuesday? I heard some random Marvel players are showing up hurting people. I may try to pry Joe away from Disgaea, but I can’t make any promises. It’s completely engrossed his life for the moment. haha

Riot Guard: Check that game out if you haven’t already. It’s River City Ransom with optional DLC. Worth playing IMO.

I just confirmed the fact that you can update your console and download games/patches/movies/demos with a Silver Account.
Just no Live Vs, chatting, Kinect chat etc.

Scott pilgrim is the shit point of fact… i got the DLC game on PS3 and 360… 2 sets of the first 2 volumes of the comic and 2 copies of the movie (the entire 2nd set is for my niece’s christmas gift)
