I’ve always dreamed of opening an arcade like Denjin to cater specifically to people like us, but it would probably be open for about 12 hours before I went out of business.
Arcade only…yeah that would straight up fail. Arcade with sports bar…now theres some potential there.
I’ve been wasting a lot of time watching Arcana Heart 3 matches. I’ve always liked the series but 3 looks like it could be my favorite game since GGXXAC.

I’ve always wondered how Denjin has stayed open for this long. I mean I’ve never been there so I obviously don’t know for sure, but it doesn’t seem like they would get that many casuals stopping in.

@NAP: I don’t know but I still think there are quite a few hardcore players in SoCal…I’m planning a trip to Denjin this spring break and I’ll be sure to report back with my observations.

On an unrelated note, does anyone here play Starcraft? I’ve never really played its multiplayer but I’ve been wanting to try some kind of competitive gaming besides fighting games and I’m not much of a FPS fan besides casual games here and there. But I think if I tried to get into Starcraft it would be like trying to get into MvC2 at this point.
Pretty much, I’ve been to cali numerous times on family vacations so I just want to get some good games in and maybe grab a few beers somewhere. I’m pretty sure that Mario is coming with me and I guess if more people want to join us it will help lower hotel and stuff but its your call, I will be going regardless of anyone elses decision.
I would be very surprised if they got an AE cab. I would be less surprised to walk in and see 2 antelopes playing on that old virtual fighter 3 cab they got.
yeah i haven’t heard anyhting about getting AE cabs… but i haven’t exactly asked… not to say it’s impossible… Tilt is really all about the games, they’re ran by a company called Nickels & Dimes outta AZ or something… they make their own sticks and marquees and they don’t hesitate to get the new stuff and send it out to their arcades… they especially like to send stuff to the places that it would be appreciated… so with all the fighter fiend activity round here… why not? i ask you…

does anyone have a pandora battery for psp that I could borrow? I was going to just buy one but the shipping would take like 3 weeks
i called tilt today and they said they may be getting it, no confirmation, and to add them on facebook if you want to know when its coming in. sounds to me like they are getting it, otherwise why would they say maybe and send me to their facebook? sounds like a hype/Ono tactic to me. Also, i’td be very annoying if they ended up not getting it.

I was bored so i wrote up a brief summary of the BBCS2 characters so far for those who might be interested but don’t waste all their time watching countless videos like I do. This is based both on my own impressions from watching videos and what I have heard from more experienced players in the community. The game hasn’t been out very long, so everything is subject to change.
Potential Top Tiers:
Arakune- still does goofy curse combos for all your life, but is poor up close and loses to characters who can zone better than him (hazama/lambda)
Makoto- seems to have somewhat switched places with CS1 Ragna, if not as easy to use. She can do good damge, especially in the corner, and (for now) has threatening mixup
Hazama- different but still good, his combos are more interesting now. Considering the overall game changes, he might be even better than before
Good characters:
Hakumen- still turtles to build meter and then does huge damage. I don’t know exactly what his changes are, but he still seems good and no one is complaining about him
Tager- seems much improved, either that or people just don’t know how to deal with his new stuff yet. his 6A has superarmor now so he is yet another step closer to being Potemkin (aka an actual high tier grappler)
Jin- seems better than CS1 Jin, back to being a solid all-around character. he has goofy DP loop combos sort of like Ky in Accent Core
Litchi- lost enough to make her not S tier anymore but still very solid and hopefully less boring to watch/play against
Noel- does lots of damage, buffed normals, possibly the best she has ever been
Rachel- much better than she was before, but not as ridiculous as she was in the first game. She actually does damage now.
Taokaka- fast, mobile, can do good damage, much more interesting now that taunt loop is gone
Tsubaki- lots of improvements, she seems to be able to do damage now and doesn’t just do the same shitty 2000 dmg combo over and over
Weaker Characters:
Bang- could still end up being decent but Bang players have not shown anything too impressive yet
Platinum- she seems overall viable but her damage output is still pretty low, especially midscreen
Lambda- not a whole lot of videos of her yet, but I’m not too impressed with her changes. She’ll probably still be playable but some characters might still get in on her too easily
Need more info:
Carl- not too many videos out yet but he still seems okay. I don’t know enough about him to say anything
Valkenhayn- none of the Valkenhayn players seem to know what to do anymore, even though he supposedly didn’t change that much. I don’t know if he will be able to handle Mu or Rachel very well anymore
Ragna- initially expected to be shitty, some players have found new combos and he’ll probably end up being good, just not as mindless/easy
Mu-12: lots of tweaks to this character, her performance hasn’t really been particularly good or bad yet, but she doesn’t really seem particularly strong to me in general once you get past the lasers
yeah my friends at tilt said that the home company is definitely getting a few AE machines… and all we gotta do is let em know that an AE cab would get its due around here… so i guess give Tilt a call or msg them on FB and let em know that we want it…
EDIT: Cbus Bar Battles Gaiden got moved to MoMo’s again… me, Zap, K, and Marcus already have a trip out there planned, we just gotta decide whether we’re gonna stay out for the night or drive back… it’s looking like we’ll have room for 1 more player if anyone wants in
