3s Online doesn’t have a confirmed date yet but I would be willing to be that they’ll release it right before Marvel 3 to build some hype. Thats my bet at least. I agree that Ken is the best character to start 3s with. Its how I started and I definitely know that it helped my understanding of the game significantly. In short, Ken IS 3s. He can essentially do everything that is important for 3s. From there you can branch off to other characters once you understand the system a bit more. Personally the game requires the most amount of time but is also one of the most intuitive games ever imo.

had a lot of fun tuesday night you guys… we had a total of 24 entrants… and i had a hell of a time running the whole thing … it went real smooth to say the least… i can’t believe Sesh came outta nowhere and just started wrecking face… wowsers… for real mario you gotta play him in some 3s
first off thanks to absolutely everyone who showed up, competed, or just hung out… i mean everyone from the random girlies bryan and zack found somewhere to the new indy kids who left when they still had a loser’s bracket to play and from every who showed up early to get their eyes in to everyone who hung out afterward and helped wrap the place up… it was certainly fun and it won’t be our last show i assure you guys

i wanted to list who everyone lost to but i’m lazy… i had a hell of a time… congrats to Mario for winning… and everyone… absolutely everyone needs to be on the lookout for Sesh from here on in… dispite coming in second, the dude laid waste to all the hotlisters i expected to win and completely turned my assumed standings on their head
and on a late note i realized far too late that it wasn’t me and Zheph who were tied for 3rd it was Toni and Zheph so instead of just giving the prize to Jeff Toni and him shoulda played a tiebreaker of some sort, i hope niether party cares too much about a 3hr gamecard but i do apologize in earnest

To Jason (the Claw player that put me in losers bracket) I apologize. I didn’t mean to discredit you after our match, but I was truly thrown off by the input difference. Anyone who played me in the tourney can vouch that I am not nearly as bad as our match might have shown you. I will be putting time into adjusting to that difference and I will be ready to play on either console next time.
To Calvin, good stuff mindfucking me this tourney. You never did ANY of the stuff you usually do and kept me out until I rammed by head against your knee over and over.

I need to pick a character in SSF4, I can’t get away with dicking around and never practicing as well as I could in SF4. Rufus isn’t really working out for me anymore, so I’m considering Juri or Rose. Juri feels more natural but Rose just seems like a much better character.
Tourney System Viability?
A while ago a friend of mine temporarily lost his net access. Since his Xbox360 couldn’t go online and verify his DLC, we couldn’t access it at all.
We could still play without the costumes and such, but for games with downloadable characters, this is a huge problem. It wouldn’t even let us use Vuze to watch a movie.
Does the Xbox need a constant connection to the net in order to get to your Legally Purchased Goods!? If so, I’m not buying anything for it. What if I want to take my system to a friends house and play? Tournaments?
Is this true of all content purchased on Live?
What about PSN? Does Sony pull this same crap? If not, I’m getting a PS3 asap. :wgrin:

All you have to do is redownload the product to your new xbox that you had on your old one to renew the media license and it will work offline again. What probablyi happened is he got an RRoD, sent his XBOX in, kept his hard drive, and they sent him a new console and told him to put his old HD into the new 360. Well when the new 360 can connect to the web and verify your stuff it doesn’t need to keep the license locally but it needs that when it can’t verify your previous purchases on the web.
So next time he has access he just needs to redownload the content (for free since XBOX Live already knows he’s paid for it) and it should then work offline and that should fix that problem going forward…
Rose isn’t necessarily a better character (except currently Ultra 2 is really REALLY good) but they do play differently, both are fun, but they are different. Those are my two characters I play so… I guess I shouldn’t even say I count since I don’t play with the group in Indianapolis like I should…
Saturday would be a better day for me, personally, but I leave that entirely to your discretion. 
Actually Saturday works better in general so I’m just going to to make the change now.

nah nah… it might be cause he switched his HD into a new xbox… and if that’s the case all you gotta do is visit the xbxo website and use the re-licensing tool they have there, and then redownload all the content again… it happened to me a ways back

yeah prolly either before CBB:G or before NTC i dunno yet… i do know that the Ft. Wayners have asked me to start holding them on the weekends so as to make it easier for them to come down so when we do have another one it’ll prolly be on a saturday instead of a tuesday… and i know what you’re thinking if it’s on a saturday we can’t call it T3 anymore… nah it’s still a Tilt Ten dollar Tournament… so no worries…
but yeah a 3S side tourney would do well i think… alotta the tilt people play 3S and so do Sesh and Sutter and everyone in and out of our scene… we were like [–] that close to doing one on tuesday night when Indy offered but we just coasted past it to save it for another day
