What system is everyone getting BBCS for? I was thinking about possibly getting both versions.
no problem sir, I would be glad to

Wow. Lesson learned on Sean in 3S… that’s what a 3S noob gets for opening his mouth! LOL. I mean I understand the appeal as a Hoosier of anyone shooting basketballs…
Is BB popular in Indy? Did I just not know? I never bothered to pick it up since it seemed kind of GGish to me and to say I suck at GG is somewhere between understatment and flat out lie.
In terms of a tourney before the end of summer, I’m all for it. Count me in for HDR and Super… I feel like my Juri is improving everyday.
Mario/Indy are you guys going to C-Bus Bar Battles? Looking to be some healthy 3s comp there. Also pass it on to Justin, I never see him post here anymore.
I should be there, I’ll let him know.
So, looks amazing, although I must admit I don’t understand what’s happening at all.
Do you ever fight on the ground in this game? It looks nuts. Fun though.
It’s fundamentally similar to games like Guilty Gear and Melty Blood. You’ll see people in the air a lot because A) most arcanas grant some sort of space-controlling projectile, B) the game has ridiculously tall stages, and C) the homing cancel lets you fly toward your opponent anywhere on the screen, even if they are way up in the air.
Secretly it’s an extremely good franchise but no one plays it because all the characters are girls
A number of us played it but it wasn’t hugely popular. The new game should be easier to get into so it might fare better.
It is very similar to Guilty Gear, but it is much easier to play. It’s a good intro for that style of game.
i’m no dustlooper but i’m still gonna pick up CS sometime so i can keep up with the times… and if litchi is still litchi i’ll have fun… i’m told bang is god now… is this true kyle?
Litchi and Bang are generally considered the strongest characters. Bang is good because he can do huge damage off of quick pokes, and he still has really good mixup. Litchi also has big damage output, while still retaining her old corner pressure, okizeme, and space-controlling pokes. I’m not 100% sure but I think Litchi is supposed to be the stronger of the two.
basically:
S tier
Litchi, bang
A tier
Ragna, Carl, Hakumen
B tier
everyone else
Rachel tier
Rachel
generally there aren’t many matchups worse than 6:4, with the exception of bang/litchi vs the weaker characters like Rachel and Tager. Also Bang vs Lambda
A friend and I are going to Tilt Saturday evening for some SSF4. I’ve never been, but he has been and said nobody is ever there playing, so if anybody is in the area and wants to play, hopefully we can have some competitors =)
What time?
Not 100% sure since I’m about to leave from Fort Wayne to drive down to Indy. I’m guessing we’ll be there from like 6ish through 10pm or so.
Ummm…I might actually be down for some games and meeting some of you guys.
What is their setup like? Do they have sticks built-in to their cabs or can I bring my own usb pad?
Looks like 3s is being ported to PS3 and XBOX with online play!
I just saw that which mean you won’t be seeing me playing SSF4 online much anymore.
Very much so.
So I am officially braving the crazy weekend traffic and heading down to Tilt to check out the local competition. If any of you guys would like to join me, I’ll be at the SF cab wearing a “Know Your Roots” Nintendo t-shirt.
GGs to everyone at Tilt. Sorry I played so shitty, it was the first time I’ve played SSF4 in like a month.
so I’ve decided that I’d really like to learn 3rd Strike after my SSF4 disc got scratched when my dog knocked my Xbox over (grade A engineering). I’m immediately drawn to Oro, is he really hard to learn?
It was really fun to play/meet you guys, last night. It was awesome to be able to play Street Fighter locally, rather than being confined to online play.
