Check out ZAPSRK’s youtube channel for a good assortment of vids of local players. The level really depends on who shows up to Arsenal on the day but in general we have some solid players for most games.
Guilty Gear can be played fairly well on pad. I played it on pad at tournaments for years, and one of the best players in the US, Latif, used to somehow play Eddie on pad.
Learning stick is always good for any game and once you make the adjustment it will improve your overall skill level in all fighting games, but Guilty Gear is still playable on pad for most characters
is there a wide variety or characters used in sf4 and mvc3? and is there a lot of drama at these things? i’m hoping it is a calm place. lastly, is there any mvc2 played?
Despite what you may have seen in this thread recently we have pretty much no drama at all in our community. People play lots of different games and many different characters in those games.
@Highwind: The actual 4 players have some nice character diversity. You’d be hard pressed to find another community with a solid Hakan player, lets just leave it at that. MvC3 is the usual suspects and the Marvel crew usually rolls in on Fridays and has at least 360 MvC2 from what I saw. Basically what Kyle said is 100% accurate, we’re a good group of people and Arsenal is a really friendly place to get some games in. Definitely stop by this Friday and see it for yourself.
So I’m thinking about having a game night at my place next Saturday. I only have one TV, and one or two computer monitors, one 360 and one ps3, so people might have to bring some setups and games. BYOB if you want to drink. I also have a couch, and two inflatable beds if people prefer not to drink and drive. Broad Ripple is about 6 miles away, so a taxi for 3 or 4 people might be $20 to split if people wanted to do some bar hopping. My girlfriend offered to cook, but we also have a few pizza places that deliver to our apartment. Could probably host 10 decently, any more than that, it might start getting cramped pretty quickly. Oh, and I live pretty much on the corner of 75th and Binford. Let me know what you guys think.
Sounds like fun, I can bring my TV and setup if needed.
thanks for the replies, the soonest i’ll be able to come in is the monday of thanksgiving break. i’m going to be pretty busy with moving and school for the next few weeks. will people be there on, i think, the 21st?
Hey what’s up guys who’s all coming out tonight?
check it 3rd strike meets KOF XI
http://youtu.be/x23izcCCiaY hopefully we can do this in KOF XIII
Other than the socially inept guy that will sit down at a station and not get up to let other people and of course the gentleman that would rather tell everyone else he’s the best then actually play casuals, I can’t think of any drama.
So I’m thinking I’m actually going to be able to show up for this tonight. Any suggestions on what time I should be there?
It opens at 5, but on Friday we don’t usually get a lot of people until after 6:00.
Alright, thanks for the quick reply.
So GG was fun, and Sol Badguy and Order Sol are awesome. I really want to slap myself for not ever having that game.
I’ll be there tomorrow night. Finally done with finals, and I need me some GG.
sweet! some serious GG mayhem is going down tomorrow
and I will have a PS3 there with 3S & AE
new Goldenrody vids:
Baiken amazingness
Johnny FRC point, wow
Venom, starts a tiger-knee and goes to instant throw, dang, actually Im not sure how this works at all for the throw to come out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia6mPYgbuPM#t=17m51s
Cory check out this Potemkin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9OhUf2UKr8
That was intense. ABEGEN don’t give a shit! I am going to have to learn how to rushdown like that since that’s the exact opposite of how I play him. I would imagine it’s not a good idea to do that every match, but having that option would be awesome. This game rocks!
Hey everyone, I’m new to the site and have been looking for a place in central Indiana to meet up and play some games so I thought I’d introduce myself.

Hey thanks for posting those vids. That Baiken player was sick, I’ll have to work on playing with more pressure like that when I play with her in the future.
Hey Blake/ LowLight 1614 welcome to the group we have weekly gatherings at the Arsenal game room on Mon and Fri starting at 5. I think Effenhoog put the address on the first page of the forum.
Rushdown 'tempkin is terrifying. All you need is to make them believe you’re going to Pot Buster them, wait for the jump, then TK FB PB. They’ll be too scared to move, let alone poke out.
