I’m shooting to be there by 5:30 as long as I don’t run into any problems at work. This day has been crazy. There was even a Thriller flashmob in the cafeteria at lunch today at Lilly. I love this holliday: girls run around in revealing outfits, candy, an excuse to scare the crap out of children, Thriller flashmobs… if only it was during a warmer month.
I have to take my kids out tonight so I don’t if I’ll make it out. If I do it’ll late though.
I may learn it. I’ve always wanted to, and it just never happened, so I may invest some time into it. Sol Badguy has been my favorite character, aesthetically, for the longest time. I don’t like Ragna, though… seeing as how they share extreme similarities.
I never mentioned anything about Ren being banned, but since it was brought up, he told me that it was something he did offline that got him banned online… how you can even do this, is beyond me. RL vs. Forum trolling are two separate realms that should be left as such. If he was actually being an ass and trolling online(which I know he does from time to time) then fine, but if not then the ban-er is wrong, imo. I’m levelheaded enough to talk this out, but it’s honestly not worth the salt. I don’t feel like getting off to a bad start with you guys. I’m trying to broaden my competitive horizons in the fighting genre, so yeah…
No, no, no, no. Just like Ky is just like Jin, or Tager is like Potemkin. Just because Rag/Sol both rushdown, Jin/Ky both use projectile zoning, and Tager/Pot are both grapplers, none of them play alike.
Sol is WAY more fun to play that Ragna, but then again GG is way more fun to play than BB. Some could argue that Ragna is a better character overall, but nothing gives you the satisfaction of clean hit sidewinders and VV RC combo.
Man, a GGxBB crossover would be so boss if it was basically GG+BB characters. Leave the system alone. A fast paced Rachel or Arakune would be fun, and how awesome would it be to be fast enough to get around Litchi? Slashback into fuck her day up.

The progression was something like him getting tempbanned for trolling on the forum, making a new account and declaring that it was still him and then still trolling, and then making a 3rd account when that was banned, trolling some more, threatening someone (as a joke but the mods will still ban you for it), and continuing to say it was him with a new account and basically daring the mods to ban him, which they did. No one holds a grudge about it or anything and no one is going to associate his behavior with you or anything, so it’s all good.
I can’t speak to whether or not he did do something irl or not, but I’m pretty sure this got him banned:
I actually respect renegade, I’m not a SF4 player, but he has game to back up his talk. He is legit good, a funny guy and I’d like to see him come out more. I also have no problem with a little innocent trolling, the naptown community is basically built on it. The problem comes when he starts threatening active, contributing members of the community with irl harm. Serious or not, pretty much anyone lurking this thread who is considering stepping out and joining our community is going to see a post like this and wonder what kind of people we are. It’s bad for our community.

Well, I can see why it happened… He went a little overboard with his words and attitude… I like how different and much more cocky he is on these forums, but when he used to post on the Brawl forums, his attitude was way more lax. Pretty funny… now I see why he quit Brawl. lol

You’ll have fun with him. Once you get the feel for clean hits, he just becomes fun to play. If we’re doing GG next Monday you should show up.
Guilty Gear happens every Monday, and we have two setups for it. Trouble is having enough PS2 fightsticks. I have one and Kyle has two.
I always have my ps2 stick aswell so we should be good on controllers. I usually leave it in my car but if we need let me know and I’ll go get it.
I also play Guilty Gear on Fridays but there are definitely a few more players for it on Mondays
Pretty much any game you might be interested in we probably have at least a couple players for it in town

I’m awful on fightsticks and prefer pad, but if it really helps I’ll learn, granted I will get extremely frustrated with the process.
