I’ll be going to EVO if I get a good-sized tax refund, this year. I’ll be signing up for MK 9. Third year in a row at EVO, so I absolutely HAVE to go and support.
Injustice: Gods Among Us release date was announced, this morning: April 16th, 2013. I’ll be pre-ordering my Collector’s Edition at Gamestop, tonight. Will probably take the rest of the week off for that game, too. I’ll probably head up to GGA that Thursday night to get some training in with those guys.
I might be planning the trip this year. I was surprised Persona 4 Arena actually got announced.
I can’t do Arsenal on Mondays because of work, but would anyone want to get together soon and play games or something on a weekend sometime soon? Just send me a PM me for a phone number or something. Wouldn’t mind grinding more P4A with people offline.
Ugh…come on guys! If you truly love fighting games you owe it to yourself to experience EVO it at least once…
Going to play casual’s it worth it alone…you get to play people from all over the country and the world over…that you would normally never get to play.
Not to mention that you will see get to see and experience all the hype of grand finals of your favorite games…LIVE.
As for the “I don’t want to enter just to lose” mentality / “It’s too expensive” excuses:
Of course you’re going to lose…thousands of players enter the tournament and thousands lose…for the average player EVO is not about winning it’s about the experience. And you never know you might do great and possibly make a name for yourself.
When you lose….YOU’RE IN FUCKING LAS VEGAS…you can bury your salty sorrows in a drink, hit up one of the GDLK buffets or get some tits in your face @ the strip club.
I know it’s expensive…but tax time is coming around…there’s cash right there. Not to mention the fact that it’s in 6 MONTHS…plenty of time to stash some cash away.
Finally…there’s nothing like being in an event hall w/ people that love the same thing as you do!
If you truly love fighting games…forget it….get your ass to EVO!
I know…GOOD SHIT! now talk some sense into the rest of the NapTown crew…I want to see a lot if not all of you there!
Phew…I just drove across the country to get to SoCal…that’s one hell of a drive! (2,000 miles) You would better off getting on the plane…but I love the fact that you’re entertaining the idea!
I’m willing to let a few people stay w/ me @ my place B4 EVO…I’m planning on getting to Vegas on Thursday night!..if you come B4 that we can take a trip to Super Arcade!
Hello,
I’m relatively new to fighters so people in the newbies section told me to go to regional matchmaking. I live a little south near greenwood. Where and when do you guys meet up and all?
I usually play sf4 and skullgirls, but I wouldn’t be opposed to going to one of these to watch/dick around a game ive never played before. lol.
I’ll probably go to one next time i have off.
