I think the biggest reason they don’t want to is because we’d all end up fighting each other, and as far as we know no one in Indy would be able to topple either me or Rumler in MK in a srs match to da death. So they already know the outcome, and don’t want to waste money on it. At least that’s what I think. Also we play each other every week as it is.

I really wish that I was more successful in getting our local Indy MK guys out to these Godlike Sundays, but none of them want to play in paid tournaments. It’s hard for me to come to these myself for AE or TTT2, because I know that I’m going to get my back blown out because I don’t keep up with either of these games at all.

I really hope that I can get the support for Injustice going when it comes out, this April…

I’ll def give it a go it has a couple of characters I’m interested in.

I just watched the GDLK Sundays: TTT2 Grand Finals Featuring “Da Truth”…Great matches and even greater commentary. I’m so proud to see Nap still getting it in on the regular…

I’m sorry that I haven’t been on the forums AT ALL as of late…Peak season @ Amazon has been owning me FREE. But now that’s all said and done…
The EVO lineup has just been announced and I hope to see you all in the desert this July! You guys have 6 months to train and save the cash to make it out here…so there should be NO Excuses…I’m really looking forward to seeing a lot if not all of you there!

And yes I have to admit that I have been caught in the Black Ops 2 vortex…but now that the Evo line up has been officially announced I’m going to be getting my training regiment back in order, so look for me getting bodied @ EWGF Fridays @ Super Arcade! Oh and that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance…Phew I can’t wait for that to drop…shit is going to be EXTRA GDLK! I’m still not sold on the new DMC (Even though I’ve been playing the demo like crazy!)

From what I understand, Arsenal is pretty much now only on Mondays so I have no idea what’s being played nowadays.

This sunday’s GDLK Sundays might be interesting for me, though, because there seems to be a sudden new found interest for MK 9. Needless to say, I’m thrilled about that and I hope that it sticks.

I am sorry to say ZAP, but Kof is not near as strong as it used to be man. People got their lives and tons of games coming out, so only a few people really play it as seriously as we used to. Also, i’ll make sure i make it out to Evo. I definitely want to play kof there for sure.

Godlike Sundays is our monthly tournament.

Our weekly meet day is Monday, although we schedule other days when we can. We used to meet on Friday or Saturday but our venue has been too popular for the last month or so and we haven’t been able to reserve the space.

What days will you be here? Maybe we can schedule something. Also what games do you play, so that we might track down the right people to potentially play with you.

Yeah, i never understood why the don’t want to play at the tournaments to support their own scene. I think it’s a little messed up. Oh well though, it’s all their choice. It’s almost the same with kof, but hopefully the people who are interested in playing kof that i know play it seriously enough to want to do local competition.

Not trying to flame. But the Nexus is it’s own scene. We may not support the “tournament” scene, but as far as playing friendly matches and keeping the game alive. We have meet up every week with out missing a week since 4 months before MK9 came out. That is supporting a scene to me. The truth is, as far as the Nexus is concerned, we know who is the best. We play every week. I love MK, but (not trying to sound like a bitch ) entering a local tournament is like handing Semi Evil Ryu my money. I get all the casuals my heart could want every week.

This is why I vastly prefer the free tournament system used by Arcade Legacy and all Japanese tournaments. There are way too many instances of games dying out not so much because of lack of player interest but because people don’t want to spend the money on it unless they think they might win.

As far as Local tournaments, I would be far more likely to show up if they used this system. I love playing the game and seeing how far I can go. But locally I know who is going to win. As far as travailing for a tournament. . . If I am going to travel for games, I personally don’t want to compete. Galloping Ghost is something like 2 hours away and has over 200 classic arcade games. If I go that far away, I want to play Donkey Kong and Double Dragon all night, not a game I have at home.
