In regards to the netcode

I’m not sure about Arcade mode, but in practice mode there is a separate menu you can access with R1 that has the move list, etc for each character. Besides a few minor variations, most characters feel like KOF94.

As for the net code, was playing a good friend in Austin (im in cincy) last night for a bit and the connection was slow at first but picked up and we experienced no lag. This morning though, I was a full bar connection playing a yellow and the input lag was saddening. This is based on the PS3 version. Hope this gets fixed quick.

Man there must be something wrong with some of you guys. its been said numerous times that there will be a patch on tuesday. hold your horses lets see where it goes. the netcode sucks at the moment. we get it by now.

Well I am biting the bullet today. I tell my experiences with online when I get the game.

I think I noticed something about the netcode- spectators add lag.

Think.

Played a couple of same in arcade matches and player matches- and the player matches felt like they lagged significantly more.

In the non-spectator mode, the netcode was mediocre. Not unplayable.

This is all with 2-bar connections, I haven’t found a 3-bar one yet period.

Remember before patches on consoles when devs had to get it right the first time?

Yeah when I make games I always make it 3 open slots, with 1 friend slot (so unless I invite a friend only one other person is ever in the room.) I love the idea of lobbies but it was obvious that specs were going to affect it somehow, so I’d rather play without em for now.

I’ve played a ton of 3 bar people, I noticed that if you play in a really long set the lag becomes less and less and less.

remember when games didnt have online

Of course we all miss those days but the industry has changed and its much more of a business these days. Games cost millions more than what they used to and publishers just want to make a return on their investment. We are lucky to have online with the ability to patch.

Game is mad fun but ill wait to pass judgement.

game is awesome engine wise which for me makes it totally worth the money seeing how this is a new fighter.

BUT, man the stupid training mode is barebones, (actually the user interface is just… HORRIBLE… like i mean REALLY bad, by far the most counterintuitive setup i think i’ve ever seen on a fighting game while ALSO maintaining redundancy… changing buttons is like pulling teeth) the AI is stupid etc. etc.

but since those are somewhat minor complaints i still believe the game is worth it and is a premier fighter… but man, i never knew how stupid snk was till i saw the user interface on this game… its like nes bad, but with more options.

-dime

I think training mode is fine  could use a record/playback mode though.

Hey guys, let’s play a game. It’s called “shut the fuck up about netcode until Tuesday!”

I’m having fun…offline.

I swear I said the same thing about the interface being like super nintendo. Does SNK even try anymore besides those damn visuals?

When you change buttons…it changes the other players buttons also.

-_- We found that out yesterday. I hope they patch that–and well the HUD/interfaces for options screens and character select look pretty bad but I think its really because they put so much work into the sprites and backgrounds that they just didn’t have it in them to do better HUDS/interface. Hopefully, they will update them again–they looked worse in the beta actually,

are u sure, remember that u have to hit r1 to change the next controller’s buttons. Retarded decision but yea u can change each controllers configuration seperatly by hitting r1.

It indeed changes the buttons for everyone else  that needs to be fixed

Any other bugs found like this should be reported on the KOFXII facebook page www.facebook.com/kingoffighters12. The Ignition rep (I think) who runs it is super nice and wants to hear from us.

Page not found. But I get the point. I will tell them about the replay data problem that’s been annoying me.

Just finished a bunch of matches online and it was pretty bad, hoping that things will improve by the 28th. I really don’t want to have to drive an hour and a half to Arcade Infinity just to get some good games in. I hope those input options get fixed, it would make things like tournaments hard to run because no one will be able to have their own button inputs. my fingers are crossed for the 28th!

Pepperidge Farm remembers

One of the biggest problems is the fact that you cant see what kind of connection you have until you enter the room which is extremely time consuming, I just had to go in and out of 4 different rooms before I found a yellow bar connection. This 100% needs to be changed when the patch hits.

Yellow/blue bar connections are generally good in my experience, there just needs to be an easier way to find them

The game is awesome though, I really hope the xbox patch hits asap to fix these problems soon, it would be a shame for a game as good as this to get ignored because of sub par online play.
