Possibly, but at that point, you might as well be teching normally. And in any case, you’re not getting the same OS as in IV since it’s not lights that are coming out.
I use this os with blanka vs. rufus/cammy/yun based on the opponents throw/redivekick timings.
I st.hk os throw, then if if they divekick i get 3f st.hk, if they threw me i get a tech. it only works for specific timings, but if you know your opponent tends to go for early throws and delayed frame traps it’s still useful.
depend. if they make it so that the first imput during a tech throw is the one that matter then you can t do your O.S
i have a question. Chun li is canceling st hp with v trigger. can you cancel a special with v trigger?
So we could do shoryuken then cancel on guard or on hit with v trigger. ( just like a fadc)
It looks a lot like a combo extension tool as well as triggering the V-state as well as allowing block pressure and the sort. I can see some defensive characters relying on using V-Trigger cancels to escape some characters.
I like it, I can foresee an FADC mechanic implemented in one of the characters V-Skills anyway tbh.
Who’s hype for the E3 reveals? We’ll probably see some new mechanics shown in characters V-Skills. After yesterday Bethesda showcase I’m hype as fuck but their showcase is going to be hard as HELL to top, especially by Capcom. Come on DMC5/RE7/SFV reveals. I need more SFV gameplay, hopefully on a newer build to properly analyse how it’s looking so far, the walkspeeds of the characters so far have been kinda shittt, even Chun looked kinda sluggish.
I’m almost certain me and @Eternal are waiting for a Cody reveal with V-ism dodge on that V-Skill. I think tears would come to my eyes.
I’ve seen Ryu/Chun/Bipson cancel normals, I have no argument to why they couldn’t cancel specials either. Selected moves have selected properties for cancelling again probably but I can see SRK being cancellable.
The resources you spend to get one cancel off look justifiable to me.
It’s justifiable in theory, but then if you pay close attention to the match footage you’ll see that you can get 2 stocks very, very fast and it is very possible to get full stocks twice in a round.
Very unlikely if throws work the same as they do in SFIV.
There’s an inherent input lag of about 5f-6f in SFIV. If you react immediately to the throw, you are already sacrificing 2-3 frames of the throw break window because of the hardware lag. In this scenario you need to react within around 5f to successfully break a throw on reaction. Not possible.
If we take into account delays due to throw invulnerability and impact freeze, then you maybe have 13f-14f to react which is still incredibly hard and the opponent can just stand up for a split second and go into another low for the mixup, or walk back out of throw range then low-forward a la SFIV.
I’ve seen Ryu cancel a DP into super in the latest footage, but I haven’t seen him V-trigger cancel his DP. It shouldn’t be hard to flag it so that you can’t cancel DP into V-trigger anyways.
I’ve seen Chun do b.HP xx V-trigger and link c.MK xx LLegs after, so it’ll be useful in combos and pressure, at least. Which is fine by me.
He did cancel a dp into vtrigger in a old trailer. That what could maybe make op it’s like the perfect comeback technique when you have two bar and super.
Dp >
-on hit you Vtrigger then super like SFIV fadc ultra;
-on block you Vtrigger>super to guard break then profit.
Scary
Man, it’s going to be SOOOO great baiting whiff throws in this game for the first month the game is out while people are adjusting and their muscle memory betrays them for all those years of crouch teching.
