Improvements or changes you would like to see in SFV

Frame traps are absolutely in all the games you mentioned. Especially ST and alpha, they are filled with them. It’s just that generally there is more pushback on normals in those games so strings are shorter. I’m sure there is less pushback in sfiv and sfv because walk speeds are generally slower.

Except SF4 is notorious for bad hitboxes. C. Viper’s cr. mk for example is just as bad if not worse than anything in SFV.

Same here, because I have both versions. When I play on PS4, I start the game on PC at the same time so I know how long I played in total.

Im sure most of this has already been mentioned but:

1.Basically being stuck with a character in ranked is retarded. Why do I have to go through a whole process to play a different character every time?

2.No region option when creating a lounge. I’m sick of people from different countries joining, the lag is bad enough in the US. Then on top of that there is no “kick player” option so have to dismantle the lounge, go back and create a new one every time? Really?

3.Training mode menus should’ve been easier to navigate and understand. At first I couldn’t even figure out how to record the dummy cause of all the sub menus. It was so much easier on 4.

I’ve barely played the game so these are the only real annoying issues I’ve had so far.

Can we get the character settings saved like in Sf4? I hate having to change to my favorite color and quote every time I switch

Why are throws so prevalent online? I mean I realize they were there in 4 and without crouch tech theres no incentive not to but its like Ryu and Ken have a legitimate 50%/50% mashing throw and dp…this makes no sense. Then I have matches where I know they are just going to mash throw and I break 15 of them and still eat 5…its stupid. Makes the game unfun and requires exactly zero skill.

In SF2 the original one you can get a D-KO draw game for the max of 10 rounds, CE onwards it was 4 draw games and in Alpha Max 2 draw game !!

In order for them to throw you, they have to get into throw range… And that requires skill. You are being punished for not keeping people out… Thats streetfighter.

The truly dumb stuff in the game are things that require little setup or spacing and can be flung out and effective at near fullscreen.

Has ken’s face and hair been improved?

The dude with the important questions.

Is there a room to throw people at the end of an empty jump or is there no recovery on it ?

Empty jumps don’t have any recovery. You can do the throw early (couple frames before they land) so that they are at frame disadvantage pressing buttons. This naturally loses to super late jump ins but can ‘OS’ early jumps vs empty jumps. You see a lot of people whiff throws when people doing things like late divekicks because people are trying to do this.

This is also what enables empty-low as a valid mixup once you who people you can go for late jump ins or safe jumps.

Because this game is meant in the head of devs to be more like SFIIT. And throw were killer back in SFIIT. Plus you can’t auto tech them with crouch tech, so I guess people are relieved and throw often. It will damper with time.

Priority: Fix the netcode please for goodness sake.

  1. QoL (Quality of life improvements): Have some save feature for our favorite settings in rank/casual match lookup. Save feature in training mode will be very nice too.

  2. Enable hit box data setting in training mode, this will really do wonders and push the community to greater heights.

reduced load times

It really surprises me people ask about throws so much…

Throws in this game aren’t even that good. Range is reduced and you can see them coming from a mile away. Slow character walkspeed just makes them even less of a threat. This isn’t SFII throw vortex stuff here. I think you can get around throws pretty easy in this game…

Stick support on PC

Do you even play street fighter? How about not letting them get in your face… 15 times.

Add an extra round if last round is a draw. Both characters start with half life or 1/3.

Give characters more options on their wake ups; many characters only have the option of…block.

Most of the cast has at least one thing to use on their wakeup. Some of costs meter though.
