Also everyone, I just checked out the room. If anyone has any power strips they can bring which are a decent size long and at least six inlets on it that would be a huge help. The GWCC is charging crazy high fees for extension cords that only give you for inlets to plug in. If anyone has any extension cords/power strips four the televisions please let me know as soon as possible. This is what the room will look like basically from the room set up here:
It should be able to fit all of us comfortably in the room.
Also 3’ means that’s 3 foot table to place televisions on. We still have a week away from this so there’s still time for me to tell my event coordinator to change the layout of the room. I’m liking what I see so far. There will also be another 8 foot registration table in front of the door. The other 8’ registration table will be where you all will sign up for the games at. And everywhere else in the room is where we’ll be playing. I plan on having a total of 10 TVs there but if anyone else is stepping up and bringing some more then let me know so I can have her bring more tables in. Basically the earlier we get there the better so we can have time to change things around. Remember I stress anyone bringing equipment to come before 10 a.m. This will make things easier for all of us and I will know who not to charge and be able to put faces with equipment together. I’m going to have a very smart setup to ensure no one’s things will be stolen and I will reveal it the day of the tournament. Also, I have another big announcement about the ranking system. It’s basically finished and we will tell everything about it there.
Of course! The tournament doesn’t start until 12 p.m. We are planning on arriving at 8:00 a.m. and having something set up by 8:30 a.m. So from 8:30 a.m. and forward we should have nothing but casual matches. Make sure you get there early if you’d like to practice up. That’s the best piece of advice I can give to all of you.
The pre-registration page is updated!!! Let me know if I missed anyone.
Hey whats up?
The arcades here in Houston are sweet. So many 3S machines out here its too good to be true. I’m getting some good practice out here and hopefully I’ll be able to come back to Atlanta for a visit some time and show you whats up. Also, if your still running your tournaments by next year, I’ll try and come participate man.
Anyhow, best wishes and hope your tournament goes well man.

About the parking passes, I finally have an update. Basically all I have are seven parking passes avaliable for everyone. The Georgia World Congress Center only provided me with two (one of which I must use) and the other five I had to purchase at $10 each out of my own pocket. I do have two more additional parking passes as well from my last event. These were parking passes I was suppose to return to the center from my last tournament but I did not return them. So, that is two more passes anyone can use. However, the five that I bought can be printed out and bought into the facility. The four free ones I have are physical cards which must be shown at the facility. Meaning that I have to actually hand them to people.
So, unfortunately not all of you will be getting a parking pass. However, the priority for these passes must go to those bringing the heaviest equipment. Larry must get one because, well he is Larry, the biggest guy on the Southeast’s scene. From there, I want you all to decide who should get them. For the physical passes I’ll have to mail them to you guys directly or when you arrive I’ll go outside and hand them to you. And remember, to those of you not bringing heavy equipment Marta is always an option as you can park at a train station and ride right at the GWCC and skip the parking fee. Let me know what you guys would like to do.
Dammit Iceman answer your fuckin phone. I called today and no fuckin answer. BTW i will b there Iceman for casual matches and tournament. Since i’m rusty i can use some practice so b ready for my return to the tourney scene.
On second thought, I will not enter for as many games I intened to enter. I think I am only going to enter for CVS 2 and 3s. The shoulder botton mapping rule for Guilty Gear Accent Core is just too much for me to handle. My hands are just not going to be able to hit RCs and FRCs with the joypad without mapped inputs. I will still bring what I said I was going to bring as a contribution to the scene. I do have a friend who is going to enter the tournament, and perhaps you can transfer my entry waive for him. PM me and let me know magnicious.
I think I’ll stick with MvC2, I’ll have to use a dreamcast controller, but I’ve kind of gotten use to it.
If anyone wants to do some low-tier MVC2 money matches at the tourney, let me know. I don’t expect to win the tourney, because I don’t put a lot of practice into the game, however I am able to still pull wins against Launchpad (Dante) and Pokchop (Ricky) on occasion. Plus, there are some things I need to settle with dumb and dumber and the tourney anyway.
