We’ve got around 27-30 pre-reg people. I know the douglasville crew is planning on coming out, and they aren’t all pre-reg.
So I would say around 30-40 people as of now.

I’m not sure honestly but it’s completely separate of IC3’s events. It is being ran by konsolekingz.com and they are bringing their own televisions, equipment, and staff to run it. Since they have a channel on IGN, Xbox Live and a pretty popular site, I suppose they themselves will bring publicity to get people to come for their event by advertising through their channels and on their website. I will try to help them as well by advertising it on different Madden sites. But keep in mind this tournament will not take any steam or resources away from my tournament since it won’t be ran by myself or my staff. But I’d say it should be a decent turnout. They’ve been running tournaments for a while.
Their websites konsolekingz.com is ranked 385,000 on alexa.com so it’s a very popular site. I’m sure once they post it on their site it should bring people to the tournament to come play. They’ve had several other huge celebrity events as well so they have quite a good following.
There is no sandbagging going on here. I’m going to bring it but it might be the equivalent of bring a knife to a gun fight.

Also, Battle Fantasia only has one entrant? Might not wanna run that if things dont change soon…or you can just hand the trophy to raekwon as he walks in. Im sure he deserves it, but at least make him win some matches. xD
There are a few other games with not too many entrants, but i guess we can still watch all for awhile and see if they get more people. Im about to sign the D-ville crew up for marvel, although I havent gotten word on the 3s scene showing up yet.

Yeah, come time in January a few games may get the axe. Especially now that Madden and NBA2K9 are going to be there. Konsole Kingz are also giving me a bit of pressure to add a major Xbox 360 game into the tournament so they can attempt to get Microsoft to sponsor the tournament by giving me Xbox Live membership coupons to hand out. They really want me to run a Gears of War 2v2 Execution on Sunday but I’ll just have to see how everything is unfolding. I have enough TVs to run it since the person renting out the facility to me is allowing me to use 20 LCD monitors. With the use of a VGA adapter cable (which he can provide) I can hook Xbox 360s up to a LCD monitor. The only problem, getting the Xbox 360s and also there’d be no sound if you hooked them up that way so you’d need to get a Y-audio to mini-headphone jack adapter so people can plug in their own head phones. Also added to the fact that we’d have to get 4 Xbox 360s, and 4 copies of Gears 2 in order to run one 2 v 2 (Since everyone will need their own setup because people don’t like split screen.) it’d be a super hassle to run. I myself have three Xbox 360 but only two copies of Gears 2. If I ran it on Sunday I’d at least want eight setups so we could have 4 different teams going against each other at the same time.

We shouldn’t have to get rid of some of our games just because these other people are gonna be there. If they only have a few people enter it’ll only take a few minutes to run.
Well, that would basically be 3 Xbox 360s. My friend from Chattanooga is bringing one with Gears 2. I have two Xbox 360s myself with Gears 2 and a third without one. If you bought one it would be four but that would just be only one setup for 2 v 2. I’d really like to have enough setups for two groups of people to play at one. In other words two 2v2 matches going on at once. One set of 2v2 would be way so slow for an entire day if we have over 10 teams.
I have to because they want to put coverage of the tournament on their Xbox Live channel. They specifically said for them to be able to do that and also allow me to get a sponsorship from Microsoft, they are pressuring me into having more Xbox 360 games.
There’s a few other surprises that will be at the tournament as well but I don’t really want to disclose it on the forums until I’m finished talking with these particular companies. But there is one well known company that told me they want to come into the tournament and set up a Wii station along with a few games for test marketing. I can’t reveal the company just yet but we’re almost finalized. But this is all a thing about pleasing these potential sponsors. When you want sponsors, you have to be at their will unfortunately 
I’m just a little worried the focus will be taken off the fighting games that this tournament was meant for.
