Yes, SRK just did a switch in Format after I linked.
And then it switched back quickly.

You didn’t notice when EVERYTHING on SRK would not work?

No, you would need a 9-wire Harness.
One for Ground, other eight for each Button.

And then you Daisy-chain the Ground of each Button together.

SRK worked fine whenever I was on yesterday; your link didn’t and still doesn’t work. It’s not a big deal, just trying to be helpful…

I know it doesn’t work right now.
That is because SRK changed.

That link only worked for few minutes.

Tech Talk went from /f177/ to /tech-talk/ then back to /f177/ yesterday.

Hey guys me again. So so far i completely finished my mayflash, wiring, buttons, joystick, artwork, everything. Problem being i need a home button (PS3), i could probably wire a sanwa obsf/n 24 for a home button, but i don’t have a clew in the world how i would do such a thing. IMPORTANT NOTES : The STOCK MAYFLASH (NON COMMON GROUND), IF i CAN i want to use a sanwa obsf/n 24. <on a side note i would probably put it on the back of the arcade stick. thanks. ps: is it even possible to put a home button in a mayflash?

You can’t add a Button for Home, because the Mayflash PCB doesn’t have anything for Home.
You would have to replace the PCB if you want Home.

If you wire turbo and select to the same button, will I still be able to switch from 360/ps3 by holding select while plugging the controller in ? (Just for confirmation).

Im modding a ps3 TE with the Paewang in a few days, it was easy in a custom case but I kinda want to use the TE turbo pcb. Im gonna try the same method as you did and see if I can use the turbo pcb on a later date. It sucks that the turbo pcb on ps3 doesnt say where the different solder points are on the pcb, like the 360. If anyone know where the spots are on the ps3 TE turbo pcb to solder home and turbo please let me know.

Looks like a LS-40-01 needs modding to fit in the Paewang. Two things: Lots of grinding since the body of the LS-40 is too large and you have to top mount the screws.

An LS-40 would easier to mod since one can just swap in all the parts into the stock Paewang base and reuse the restrictor plate since it is similiar enough to the LS-40. I wish I could have done that with the LS-40-01, but the PCB mounted switches don’t fit in the stock base.

Got some questions about the crown buttons.

I see that they have 3 points. You have soldered the input on the same point on all buttons(looks like it) but you have soldered the ground to different points. Does it matter where on the button I solder the wires?

Also. Do I need to buy solder for the buttons? Os is there already solder on the buttons and the PCB?

Thank you.

One side of the small PCB, it has two solder points.
It is just to make easier for Daisy-chaining the Ground.

Because with one point for Daisy-chain, it would have two wires.
With two points, one wire has its own place to solder, instead of sharing.

I have no idea what Daisy Chaining is. I have absolutely 0 experience when it comes to wiring.
But I read on it and I think I may understand it now.

Is this correct?

And does it matter to which of the three point I solder the ground/input, like, could I just pick a random point and it would work?

I’m sorry if I ask a lot of stupid question. I just want to make sure that I don’t do anything wrong.

Correct.
Follow your diagram.

I was thinking about getting the old school Mayflash to mod for use on a PS2, but I had grave trepidations about dremelling and such. This mod however looks like something I could handle (well, I’d have to get up to speed with soldering, but that is probably a lot easier to fix your mistakes with than if I wrecked the case by overusing the dremel.

So I would just have to install the crown buttons, and screw in that Joystick and aside from the soldering, I would be set then?

And if I was to screw up the Mayflash PCB for some reason, how difficult would it be to replace it with a PCB from a dual shock controller?

I’m going to be working with the paewang soon as well (with no prior experience in wiring)and I’m just a tad confused about Slayman’s diagram.

It shows the buttons as having 3 spots to connect when most buttons I’ve seen only have 2 posts. I’m assuming in that case all the red ground wires would just connect on the single post of each button?

Slayman’s diagram is for Crown 203c buttons, like used in the tutorial. You’re exactly correct for how to do it for other buttons.
There’s talk that the custom button wire harness is going to be added to etokki very soon, though, so you might want to wait and just use that (no daisy chaining required!).

Ah. I see then. Maybe I’ll wait since it’s gonna take awhile to get a custom blank case anyway. Thanks for the response.

I explained why the CWB203C has three solder points in my Post above.

Here is picture I did in MS Paint.

When Daisy-chaining, two wires are going to share one spot.
But soldering two wires to one spot is hard, so the CWB203C has two spots for Ground to make easy.

You can use one spot for Ground, or use both for Ground.
Just make sure Ground and Signal are across from each other from the divide.

Ahhh jdm714, is there anything you don’t know about sticks and modding??Every question asked you seem to have a answer for!! lol btw thanks for the answers for my noob questions last time :stuck_out_tongue:

Any easy way to remove the art from the Paewang? What about a template for it, do any of you have it?

You just peel it.
But is that easy?
I do not know about.

There is Template, yes.
But no one has made a perfect one yet.

This thing.

That thing.
