I registered just to say this, its clear as day that none of you speak japanese because if you did you would realise that there are NO FUCKING NERFS TO ANY OF ROSE’S NORMALS!
The aritcle is merely introducing the hitboxes of her 2 most abusable normals for the first time! There is no goddamn nerfs to her normals so will you guys please stop crying about a fucking nerf that doesn’t exist, thank you.
She has 3 nerfs in total, all of which I’m sure you’re aware of:
u2 has no invicibility anymore
removal of super trap (who gives a shit)
soul spark builds less meter (minor nerf)
If you can’t deal with her nerfs, move on. I will continue to play her because i know that she’s still a solid character, people who rely on wake up U2 to bail themselves out the shit aren’t decent players. AE will allow the real rose players to distinguish themselves from the scrubs, bring it on.

No one has anything positive to say, all anyone ever does is cry about her being nerfed and to makes matters worse you’re all crying about nerfs that don’t exist. I’m not 100% fluent, but I went through the post. Here’s my attempt at a translation.

It sounds like they changed her normals to me. It doesn’t outright say that they changed her normals, and it also doesn’t outright say that they didn’t change them, but I don’t think they’d go into her hitboxes on 2 of her normals if there weren’t any changes, plus the pictures we have above look like they’ve been changed.
But yeah, I’m probably going to stick with Rose. Her cr.mp is BARELY smaller, and far s.mk looks like a buff to me. What’s a little range loss when it completely stuffs most crouching normals? The UC2 nerf sucks, but it’s not completely useless, neither is UC1. You also have to consider that a lot of her bad matchups got hit with the nerf hammer pretty hard, too. She’s definitely not a lost cause.

Thank you., Trike. Very respectful way of presenting and I like your fairly didactic tone. Welcome to the Rose forum. It’s a very small change. Like I said many times before in my many previous posts within this forum, s. mk seems like a buff, cr. strong seems like a small nerf.
It’s fine by me, won’t stop me from using Rose, and even if they were nerfed it wouldn’t have stopped me from using Rose anyway.

Yeah, considering that most of the cast got nerfed too, I don’t think Rose has it too rough in AE. Looking forward to trying out some s.mk shenanigans.
Trust me, it isn’t a small nerf. She lost her spiral loop. Granted cr. strong spiral loop pressure was kinda retarded, she wasn’t the only character with stupid ways to chip. Losing the loop means the only time you’re gonna see a loop is if it’s the hk. spiral at the tip which means it’ll be a lot easier to read and punish with any sort of reversal.
It was never a loop.
And she still has the safe spiral after cr strong, it’s pretty much the same with little difference.

I actually talked to someone who played Rose on the AE Console version (it was available at the NYU tournament), and he actually felt like her normals got better. He told me that he was still able to stuff moves with her cr. strong. Of course it can’t be confirmed until AE comes out tomorrow, but there’s definitely going to be changes that weren’t mentioned. We didn’t even know ST was buffed until the AE frame data was put up.
Because of the range and hurtbox/hitbox placement, it was essentially cr.strong spiral into cr.strong spiral into another cr.spiral. Afterwards, you can block and wait to repeat it over again. What sick is because of how far it reached and how far back the hurtboxes were, not a lot of moves had the range to trade with it. I pretty much call it a loop. Doesn’t work as well now obviously.
Oh it works the same from what I’ve tried.
I never do more than 2. I do 2, I block and whiff punish or block and then st. mk
I can’t even do 2. I do one then the second one gets stuffed by a well timed cr. medium. I mean it still works against baddies who mistime their normals and are off by a frame or two. Not against people who know how to time their normals though =/.
Playing last night, I didn’t feel much, if anything was different. Maybe people are still relying on the same stuff right now and its possible if there were changes people don’t know enough to exploit them yet but Rose felt 100% the same except for the invincibility on U2 did actually get me once, but not because I couldn’t have blocked but because I got greedy so… I deserved that yun kick to the face… I still won the match though…
the cr.strong>Drill stuff is more like frame traps if anything.
I don’t know what you’re on about Jason. I can still do as many c.mp xx spirals on block as I could before. I feel no difference. Same with s.mk, I can still use it in the same situations I used it before.
