I'm confused about AE Rose's new Hitbox

what the hell else is she supposed to be? lol.

no the hit box on c.mp is a whole lot smaller as well.

i rescaled the images into an overlay in PS, i’m pretty sure the range is the same. the hurtbox just got extended so it looks smaller by comparison.

It’s kind of hard to compare the hitbox on her c.mp, because both images are in different resolutions. I think it’s pretty much the same range, but the extension of her hittable box looks clear.

I never thought I’d see the day, when I murmur “Fuck this shit, I’m staying with Deejay.” This is beyond ridiculous and I’m not playing along, hell I’m not even going to give Capcom my money if they’re going to do stupid shit like this. I got over U2, nerfing c. mp? Fuck that.

I find the discussions about the ranges weird. Since her model is the same, you can simply compare by looking at where the boxes go on her model.

C.MP: hurtbox is bigger, hitbox is the same
S MK: hurtbox is reduced, hitbox is reduced

Purifyweirdsoul so true, I get that st.jab is kinda like a whatever thing but st.mp and st.Hp should really do a job, or do the job they could potineally do much better.

I think we can all agree the nerfs werent needed though, I think they might have actually beeen trying to help with St.mk it just looks like a fail, maybe it actually works.

Its ridiculous on the amount of nerfs she has for a mid tier character in super. Super trap nerf, soul spark meter gain, cr.mp hurtbox extended, st.mk hitbox reduced, U2 nerf. I’m doubting my use of her now…

Not sure, but they may have been just doing that bit where they post images of hitboxes of moves for no reason, or just to say “hey, she still has good stuff!”. This guy might be on to something, though he’s the first to say anything to this effect.

I can’t read Japanese but I took it as a “this is what the hitbox looks like for clarification” just like they did with Sim’s b+roundhouse. At least for cr.strong. st.forward just looks like the hitbox decreased and the vertical hitbox in the back disappeared.

for some reason on the cr. strong, it looks like the hitbox WENT IN.

And I don’t think the hitboxes are used on the same frame because the arm stretch and look at the scarf for the s. mk, they are in different places.

Needless to say, Rose is a subpar character in AE.

I really don’t think cr. Mp’s hitbox has been moved inward at all. The picture on the left looks to be further along in the animation, so her arm is extended more than in the picture on the right.

I actually did notice something different about her st. Mk in AE. I was whiffing a lot more than usual when I truly thought it would connect. There is one good change to the hitbox and that is that it seems like she can’t be swept out of her st. Mk, or hit low with anything for that matter. It might be a great thing…

Y’all can whine all you want … Instead of doing that, I’ll just go to the arcade and deal with it and start placing in tourneys while the rest of you will still be bitching about millimeter changes to hitboxes.
