SA2 setups that I use sometimes:

Opponent jumps
Necro d+mp (or jab denpa)
They parry, try to counter
They get eaten by SD

Both in the air
Necro drill kicks (mk)
They parry both hits and try to counter
They get eaten by SD :tup:

If you time it right you can anti-air with SA2 it’s just slightly invincible and the timing is tight but you can still do it.

im not at the arcade right now but does b+hp->jab reset->dash->sa2 work? that would be awesome to reset right into the super. some1 test it out for me

If they’re in the corner, you can do b+FP, db+FP as they’re coming down, then jab reset them. You can dash into super. If they jump, do another b+FP reset! :clap:

Instead of dashing when you hit them with the jab light tornado hook. It looks like it should hit and puts you right next to them and I think is much more confusing.

Here’s a question. Since they made Akuma’s unthrowable overhead throwable. Did they do the same to Necro’s uppercut b+fp. It seems I am getting thrown out of it alot now that I play AE and the only time I ever was thrown out before was when I totally whiffed it so they threw me in recovery.

i get thrown out of b+fp all the time.

You can be thrown out of the first few frames of b+FP, so it helps to distance yourself a bit.

Slam Dance is pretty fun to use, still gotta try it out at the arcade.

The thing which I like the most about ES ties partly into its tiny short meter… low short or UOH into ES is a real threat. With Slam Dance, you could have built up the meter needed for ES, but not have an ES… and so the low short/UOH mixup does all the damage and stun of, well, just the low short or the UOH. Unless there’s some great combo I don’t know about, which is more likely the case than not.

But being able to defend yourself or walk over to a downed opponent and make them fret about whether or not you’re going to pop the Slam Dance is just too juicy.

Just curious, if my opponent parries my b+HP (that I’m doing because he jumped out of my slamdance) am I totally fucked?

Back+hp recovers deceptively quickly, so no, as long as you’re hitting them high you should be ok.

Switching to slam dance may be more fun… but, is a mistake in the long run. refer to mutantxp’s post.
