This game doesn’t even have Akuma. It automatically sucks ass and nobody should care.
That’s not how companies work, dude.
Looks to be a seller and with the 8 original characters to pay homage I suppose… PSP should of been ideal but whatever.
side note: MM2 got a firmware update so it’s actually much playable and enjoyable. No more jumps that looks like he is hovering. I thought it was bad as well at first. Only downside is Hard mode still feels the same like normal mode.
Yo, that’s that helicopter guy right? /every kid who plays SSFIV first

Dojo Training Mode

It’s available now. I think it fucking rocks.
I bought this game with some extra itunes money and this game is hilarious(in a good and bad way).
Here are some impressions from 10 minutes in training mode with no options changed.
So first things first, srk fadc ultra, took me 4 tries.
Now here’s something interesting, with only 1 punch and 1 kick button, how do you differentiate between jab strong fierce?
It depends on what direction you’re holding, I’m going to go in depth with Ryu
Punch
F+P(when next to opponent) = throw (he has no gut buster)
standing P = hp no matter the distance
F+P = hp
B+P = overhead
DF+P = c.hp
d/db+P = c.lp
Jump P = jump mp(only hits once)
Kick
standing K from any distance = normal HK, not the upclose 2 hit one
DF+K = sweep
d/db+K = c.mk
Jump K = J.hk
tatsu = hk tatsu
Other notes
- every character has 2 color palettes.
- one button super/ultra/focus
- ex moves are done by doing the motions for fireball/srk/tatsu but using the SP button instead of P or K
- training mode, infinity meter = refill
- HAHA(excuse that) there is only 1 throw, if you throw backwards, it just reverses the forward thrown animation
- damage scaling appears to be less, but not sure yet
- Ryu - srk -> super -> ultra, normally ultra only gets 2 or 3 times(not sure which), but this allows full ultra
- Ryu’s super pops the opponent up allowing an ultra to hit afterwards, but the entire ultra doesn’t hit, works from midscreen
- df/d/df = srk
- blanka can combo ultra -> super in the corner…wtf mang
Anyone know how it runs on a 3G? The videos of it running look pretty smooth, but those have to be on a 3GS…
it runs really really smooth on 3g… pretty good time waster
if you guys have your iphone jailbroken its allready on installous , just to let you know as i dont think it really worth the money but i havent installed yet it still downloading and to the guy i also have 3g iphone il let you know how it runs when i finish
runs fine on my 3g cause its just 2D sprites. Think Donkey Kong Country.
They released it the day I purchased Mega Man 10! I should get this too but I’m waiting for review and everyone elses feedback before I even decide if I want to give $10 for an iPhone game. Or maybe I should wait for Super Street Fighter IV iPhone? Lol
I just hope they don’t go crazy with the DLC like Nazi Zombies and charge $5 for an additional character or something stupid like that!
It’s ten bucks. Worse comes to worst, you just don’t eat out once or twice when you might have otherwise and you break even anyway. Or I guess you could apparently pirate it somehow if you’re that cheap, from the sounds of it.
Well the game runs with no problem on iphone 3g , someone also say it works good on ipod touch too.
you can do all the shit of ryu in the game , even ex hado to ultra if your fast lol , you can do ultra by just touching the ultra icon.
Its a shame that they added replay Rec/save of matches in these crappy game and not over console sf :nono:, atleast whe know its going to happend in ssf4 if these got it.
It plays exactly as you’d expect from an iPhone version of SF4. Of course it’s nothing compared to the real deal (duh) but for an iPhone game it’s great. $10 seems to be the standard for high quality games from big games studios and this lives up to the precedent nicely. If you’re a fighting game fan you’ll be much happier paying $10 for SF4 than you were for wasting your money on super monkey ball
iPhone combo movie please!! Maj are you on this?
just played through arcade mode once and did a couple trials(there seems to be a lot of them). it’s pretty dope for what it is. like everyone mentioned, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a iphone port. you can tech throws and FADC and everything still. one thing that shocked me is the absence of shortcuts…you’d think if there was ever an appropriate time to implement shortcuts in SF, it’d be for this…
it’s dope though, it’s as good as it can be for being on a portable touch screen platform…it’s nice to have for the novelty of having SF4 on your phone
lolol MONKEY BALL. Oh my god. Good thing I didn’t have an iPhone back then or I prob would have hopped on that.
Nah, but after paying just $3 for a game like Plants vs Zombies… paying $10 is a bit unappealing. I mean I’m gonna do it anyway… but damn, I’m cheap!
This game… is fucking AWESOME. If I could only pick one game on my 3gs, it would be this. It’s tough getting used to how normals are though, what with the direction+P/K bit for different ones and such. And I practically need to oil up my thumb to do the motions, but it’s awesome regardless.
I’m totally going to rep this at evo. Side iSF4 tourney! HYPE!
