Lack of eek! the cat makes me sad.
X-Men should have been like top 5, or 10 at the very least. Shit defined my childhood.
Other placings I severely disagree with (ie shit should be higher up on the list):
13. X-Men (1992) <— Top 10 material right there. Best superhero cartoon everrrrrrr (Yeah, I know I said it right above this, but I felt like saying it again)
15. Spongebob Squarepants (1999) <— I shouldn’t have to elaborate
47. Pinky and the Brain (1995) <— Seriously?
54. Inspector Gadget (1983) <— Go Gadget Go Goddammit
57. Invader ZIM (2001) <— How is this not top 30?
84. Spider-Man (1994) <— This is one of the most awesome superhero cartoons ever, wtf
92. Rugrats (1991) <— Post 1994, I get this, but come on now.
Don’t forget DBZ’s worldwide impact,it made the artform “anime” widely known to the world, that alone should put it at an undisputable Top 10,or even Top 5 spot.DBZ’s influence puts out really high quality, heck,I’ve even gotten into the art buisness,as well hundred thosands of people, because of DBZ and that takes a whole lot.It defined an era,& it only makes #78,that’s just crazy,it’d be an exception if they were just average people, but since IGN is one of the largest media databases,it’s unforgivable!Dragon Ball shouldn’t be left out too:nono:!
DBZ has spawned 13 movies,2 TV special, dozens of video games,as well numerous other merchandise,& it made it’s way to the Wall Street Journal, being the first anime .
The fact that DBZ is #78 makes me not want to take this list seriously.
This is what IGN had to say about Goku.
“The world of Dragon Ball is filled with an endless list of interesting and memorable characters, and while we don’t have the space to mention everyone, we feel like we need to give a shout out to the series’ main star Son Goku. When looking at the shows on this top 100 list, we are pretty sure that there may not be a hero who is as selfless as he – Goku is downright suicidal in his quest to vanquish the world of evil. Kudos you goofy Saiyan.”
This, and the fact that they admitted DBZ had the largest fan-base on the list should have gotten it a higher spot on the list. F Tier list at best.
beavis and butt-head in the top 10? fuck outta here, that shit is unwatchable.
and looney toons should be #1 and rocky & bullwinkle should be top 10 as well.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: 10th
Fist of the North Star: Nowhere to be found
You know how you spell ‘ignorant’?
It’s the white man’s list…that is why you see Beavis & Butthead in the tops. DA WHITE MAN!!!
Sorry but white people got to add something to a list, blacks and hispanics complain about everything and anything thats put up by us.
Why are the black cartoons so far down on the list boondocks at 94 really. Where’s the Proud Family too?

Those shows will never be as successful as GI joe or Transformers
As much as i love DBZ, I highly doubt it has a larger fanbase than Transformers.
List is pretty shit. Well I suppose it depends on how you rate things. If you’re going to look at how things fair in relation to their competition and such and not just raw popularity, Family guy and Futurama should be far lower, DBZ along with Tom and Jerry and the Animaniacs should be far higher.
Regardless top 100 lists are bullshit as far as I’m concerned. Unless the individual writing the list is a complete nerd they wouldn’t be able to accurately judge 100 series because they more than likely didn’t follow half the series on the list.
so they have gundam wing and no Mobile Suit Gundam…fuck atleast put G Gundam.
LMAO, he’s serious…transformers is big in the USA…DBZ is worldwide bro. DBZ is what fathered this whole anime era…there’d be no naruto or the last airbender without dragonball z man.
People are overrating DBZ, there would be no Naruto and Avatar? You realise that DBZ was being published the same time as Rurouni Kenshin and YYH? Yeah DBZ was influential but if it wasn’t there they would have put more focus on another show. There was always money to be made in that area it was just a case of promoting it.
Well I’m mixed, so when you say “us” you’re including me
That’s the arguement for everything. Well of course. If there was no WWE, TNA would be bigger. WCW would still be here. You can’t use that arguement, because you have no clue how things would have turned out without DBZ being the most influential. It’s influenced this generation greatly; especially artists. There’s no denying it’s impact, and it deserves to be higher on the fucking list. Definately top 20, maybe 10.
/subject.
So, who feels #1 deserved it’s spot?
The fact that we have no idea of how things would turn out is essentially what I’m getting at, it’s the point that refutes your statement that there would be no Naruto or Avatar. To make such a statement you would have to know how things would play out which, by your own admission you don’t know how things would turn out so at best you can say ‘‘It’s questionable whether series like Naruto and Avatar would exist/have the same level of popularity’’.
That being said I think DBZ should be top 10 though I’d have no complaints if it was in the top 15.
its kind of stupid to say B and B is only liked by white people, I know a lot of mexican buds of mine who love the show. And B and B was very successful in the 90s thanks to all the pot heads
i used to love the 90’s spidey cartoon. is this new series really that good? being a spidey fan, this list makes me want to go find the series to dl.
