Surprisingly yes. I’d say it is better than the first, it’s a shame they decided to reboot it after 2 seasons. I think complications with Sony and Disney purchasing Marvel fucked the series up.
I see your point. Misunderstanding on my part, haha.
Lol, I didn’t mean it literally, but the 90’s was a decade of split culture. There were highly successful black shows, as there were white shows, you know? That’s all I meant, I wasn’t trying to offend anyway.
Usually I don?t complain much about these top 100 whatever list cus its hard to list so many things but why is Mainframe not getting any love.
Reboot was a great show and hell based of simply influence (first 100% CGI TV show) it should be on there now of course we can say its not up there cus Canada was the only place the show ran full in order cus it got canceled in USA and UK early S2 for being to violent.
But lol what the excuse for Beast Wars not being there, wasn?t this show the highest rated animated show on Fox Kids, saved the Transformers series form dying like Tundercats ect, influenced all the Transformers shows/comics after it with the concept of spark/all spark oh and it was a really good show. I mean shit Beast Wars was so popular that it caused Reboot to go on a 1 year hiatus cus Mainframe couldn?t pump out episodes fast nuff.
-DBZ and Ninja Turtles should be higher
-King of the Hill and beavus and buthead are trash
-No exo squad, Rocko, sailor moon, angry beavers, Eek the Cat, Mummies Alive?
Im not biasing this off the perspective of a 35+ year old animation nerd these are just show that when I was a kid I loved and all the other kids did too.
“white man’s list”? uh ok.
anyway, thinking about it how didn’t recess or doug make the list? recess is one of the most slept on cartoons and doug (nick era) was awesome. and really considering some of the other garbage cartoons they had on there angry beavers or hey arnold should’ve gotten some love as well.
ren & stimpy is another garbage cartoon. has anyone tried to watch that shit recently? terrible.
yuyu hakusho should have been on there as well, and without yuyu hakusho we wouldnt have any cool fighting anime, yuyu hakusho was before DBZ. Also it has a pretty big fanbase
GET THE FUCK outta HERE with The New clone wars show being on this shit. fuck that show
Naruto higher than DBZ? is that a joke?
and others…simpsons no.1? TMNT that low? yikes
Spongebob has been sooooo bad lately (since the movie incarnation), it has truly damaged the entire series. it has NOT been the same
no beast wars? Tom and Jerry that low? damnnnn
YES it is
Guys. Just say it how it is. ALL LISTS SUCK because it’s not YOUR LIST. No matter who makes a list, everyone else will think it’s not as good as theirs. That’s just the way it is.
the end.
IGN should have separated American Cartoons from Japanese Anime, having Eva next to the Flinstones for instance just doesn’t mesh. Two completely different shows aimed at extremely different audiences. List is half assed anyway, looks like they just found 100 cartoons on google, threw them in a hat and pick at random what made it though 100-11 then for the top ten ranked where the original contenders of the list fell.
this thread is old, but Spectacular Spiderman still shits all over the older Spiderman shows in just about every possible way. I was just getting caught up on a few episodes on youtube a few days ago (since the retard local affiliate here never showed season 2 for some asshole reason). Old 90s-era Spiderman seriously cannot compete with Spectacular.
You know what was some real crap though? Spider Ryders. Did anyone ever see that? What a damn joke of a show…absolutely pitiful. It’s stunningly bad.
Transformers is not a “USA” thing, its worldwide also and to a larger degree. TFers has such a large following that theres ALWAYS new toylines, comics, games, cartoons, etc being made.
Whereas DBZ is kinda left in the past. A new videogame or bastardized “remastered” release of the anime may get put out here & there, but thats all.
After Japan & America both went through their Mega-DBZ phases, that was kinda it. The fact that they’ve yet to attempt a full-scale revival of DBZ not once, leads me to believe that they just aren’t quite as big.
The Animaniacs are fine where they are,DBZ and Tom and Jerry should be far higher, and Futurama and Family Guy just shouldn’t be in the Top 10,with their spots being occupied by DBZ and Tom and Jerry.
I also can’t take the seriously because shows that did poorly made it like Freakazoid,I don’t care how funny it is,it shouldn’t qualify. It also made #53,ahead of DBZ,ahead of Tom and Jerry, ahead of other cartoon hits, are kidding me?
Alright, there’s what shouldn’t be on the list :
1.)Cartoons/Anime that have done poorly
2.)Cartoons that barley lasted a season(They have plenty of them)
3.)Anime that had less than 26 episodes
- Ducktales beat G.I. Joe?!
- I’m ashamed to say that I was hoping that *Bots Master *would have made the list.
- but yeah, I have to agree: there are other shows that SHOULD have made this list. i.e. ReBoot, which broke a big ground back in the 90s and America can’t say that they didn’t get it… This list is #$%*.
being pretty old now, i wasn’t expecting to like any of the disney cartoons. but wow is recess suprisingly good. i also enjoy kim possible. i remember doug and hey arnold back in the day. hey arnold was great, can’t really remember what doug was like.
ren & stimpy had some great moments, but overall i wouldn’t consider it that great of a cartoon.
I don’t know about all that. The visuals are toodern kiddy lookin and I saw Aunt May make the corniest ass joke. “Am I being punkd?” That is old and corny.
Really why is The Boondocks so low, why is Spongebob so high, why is that trash Invader Zim on the list at all, WTF is Naruto doing beating the whole DB trilogy, and where the fuck is Static Shock?
Actually,DBZ was before Yu Yu Hakusho,& sure Yu Yu Hakusho was a hit,but it didn’t really leave an impact in particular, the cool fighting anime buisness was DBZ
Naruto placed almost 30 spots higher than Dragon Ball Z.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Disregard the entire list, and disregard the entirety of IGN, for all eternity.
Because Dragon Ball Z is a story, and one that has come to an end. Transformers is a cow, one that is, to this day, milked.
