IGN.com's top 100 animated series

Beavis & Butthead is too high. Ducktales should be top 10.

The list is a cluster fuck.

You can’t list anime, Nicktoons, and comic book based cartoons in the same criteria. You just can’t.

peters always been a pimp even with all his shitty life issues. i feel spec is closer to that fact. Also it plays on his suedo nerd cool guy thing…90’s spiderman barely touched on that fact…he had already zipped by the akward stage and in college nerdyness really doesnt matter too much.

I loved the 90’s Spiderman censorship because it made so many things hilarious.

Like how realistic guns and bullets weren’t allowed, so everyone had goddamn futuristic lasers.
Even some random low-life mugger holding up some old lady had like a Star Wars blaster.

I also love how after Season 2, every single episode had like 4 guest stars for no reason.
Like…they couldn’t just do an episode highlighting Morbius. That would be kinda boring. Instead, they have to mix up Blade, Daredevil, Kingpin, Punisher, Hobgoblin all in there somehow. And then at the end of the episode allude to a hanging plot thread that would led to the next episode featuring the Lizard, Captain America, the Vulture, Scorpion, and Black Cat.

XMEN I think might be my favorite animated series. For every corny animation glitch that people notice, there are about 10 other thoughtful subtleties in the art and animation that most people didnt notice.

Duck Tales or Ducktales </SRKev>

I fuckin loved the B6… 30 Koreans with CTS

Count Duckula. Holy Shit. That just blew my mind. I recognized and remembered every show on that list, but I had completely forgotten about Count Duckula, and I used to watch that show everyday.

Thank you thread opener.

Um…probably cuz it was never on AMERICAN tv?

Cuz everyone’s still dick-riding Judge for Beavis and Butthead, one of the most boring, unfunny, and mindless cartoons I’ve ever had to suffer through. Shit’s as dumb as Ed Edd And Eddy.

what the hell? this list is pretty janked…

Spawn does not deserve to be listed above the likes of Popeye, The Pink Panther and Tom & Jerry!

I concur with TMNT being ranked so low. Not mentioning One Piece is a sin in my book (I don’t care how much the original dub sucked).

edit: No Rocko’s Modern Life? No Lupin III? at least Freakazoid got ranked pretty well.

i normally look the other way when b.s. lists like these are made (100 hottest women, top 100 cities to live), but there are just so many things wrong with this one. it just seems like they just started to randomly list cartoons.

another edit: of all the old theatrical cartoons they listed (Tom &Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, Mighty Mouse, Looney Tunes) i’m shocked not to see any of the old classic Mickey, Donald & Goofy disney toons on the list…

okay, i’m done.

No exosquad ?!

plain and simple this guy who did the list is old as dirt. he did not grow up in the 80’s and 90’s…no way he could have and had such an atrocious list. unless he just googles cartoons and ranked them by how they showed up in google search.

anything thats top 100 is bound to suck. This list should’ve at least been top 20 at the most.
At least then you HAVE to put some thought into it.

…No sir. I must object.

NOTHING is as dumb as Ed, Edd, and Eddy. a close second in my mind is the grim adventures of billy and mandy (or as I call them, bitch and moron.) but to this very day, I have yet to find anything with the concentrated stupidity of Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Believe me, I’ve tried.

I got a few surprises out of that list though. Battle of the planets and speed racer was there. Didn’t think anybody besides me remembered them. I was REALLY surprised that such a relatively new show like Death Note made it. :wow: Damn. I guess drama, suspense, and horror can work together if you do it right. When I saw Neon Genesis Evangelion on there, I expected the flames of wrath to fall from the arrows of SRK, yet this thread didn’t bring quite as much venom as I had anticipated.

I also agree that Bionic Six should’ve been up in this bitch. possible top 50, but it should’ve most certianly been here. King of the hill? yeah. the hill of garbage. GTFO with that shit!!! That principal on Beavis and Butthead was only funny in small dosages. Making a show about him should have been instant FTL material. If you make a box set of that, you should be required by law to put a fail button on it. IMO, oldschool Disney’s afterschool lineup should have made all top 20’s. DWD, Tale spin, and Ducktales should have been no less than top 10.

Bravestar missing from the list is FAIL!!! LOSE!!! ANTI-WIN!!! Scooby doo on the list is FAIL!!! Courage the cowardly dog can beat that shit on any day that ends with the letter “y” and yes, you may quote me on that. Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex should’ve made just for the Laughing Man Saga alone. That whole saga had,“Damn. Didn’t see THAT coming.” Written all over it. To the haters, I say boo. I say boo at you. I’ll get back to more later but I have agree with the crowd on this one. This list is overall fail.

No Go-Bots = Fail
No Dora the Explorer = Fail

Edit for stupidity: I’m blind.

#18 + #60 aye

also, kind of surprised to see '94 spiderman that low
it was def one of my faves of all time

I always wondered why they all had lasers, but I concluded it couldn’t have been cencorship because the Batman cartoons had guns.

Apparently I was wrong.

The amount of cameos in Spiderman was ridiculous though. I don’t think Dr. Strange ever made it in though, yet he’s always popping up in Spidey comics.

I’m almost certian that Strange did pop up in an episode or two of Spiderman. it was sometime around when that buisness with Madame Web was going down. The way DisneyXD has been whoring out anything spiderman of late, chances are it’ll pop up sooner or later.

no he has i think for like two episodes though he was there with some martial arts guy (i dont know that much about him so sorry). i think mephisto was in there also and mary jane was in a portal
