If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

It looked nicer to me…

It does look nicer but not a whole lot nicer IMO. There’s a lot of textures that could still use work, oh well some modder will take care of it.

lol at calling ur follower your girlfriend.

Anyways the guy is a dragon priest, so he is super high level. You can just avoid him and run up and grab the word wall. If you’re intent on killing him just dodge his crap, or take cover, and shoot your own at him. Or use arrows and hide. Idk you’re going to need a lot to beat him.

Thanks for the tip.

I think I’ll just keep trying, since I like fighting him. Plus, if he’s high level, beating him will give me tons of XP and some cool/expensive gear, so at least there will be a nice reward.

He’s not impossible, he’s just very close to it. Hit and run seems to work best unless I can find a way to knock him off a cliff again.

Puts most mods to shame… and mind you these employees were only given ONE WEEK to make these in game wishes.

You probably already saved but sometimes you can get them and the dragon to fight each other.

The possible rewards would be the loot from the dragon, one large chest by the wall, and the 3 words on the wall, and the loot from the dragon priest.

don’t read this unless you want to know about the loot

Spoiler

The dragon priest drops a mask and the wall contains 3 words.

[spoiler=“more info”]
the mask is good for archery+alchemy, and is pretty decent for armor. The words are good if you’re a sneak, because they make the enemies look somewhere else for you. It’s good if you’re an archer or an assassin.[/details]

Out of curiosity, how many other people play on Master difficulty? I was talking to some co-workers explaining how hard killing dragons with only my bare hands was, and they responded by going home, trying it, and doing it easily. TBH, I had forgotten that I set the game on Master, because it’s more or less standard (or so I thought) for that to be the first thing to do in an Elder Scrolls game, so I wondered what I was doing wrong until finally realizing my difficulty level. Like I said, I thought Master difficulty was just the way everyone played, so now I’m curious.

I play (played?) on master.
Haven’t played since like week 2 when I topped my armour rating and made swords with 500+ damage. :stuck_out_tongue:
I should really make a new file…

I wish I played on master. I finally hit 100 BS and am about to get 100 ench, and with 90 archery and 90 sneak I just creep and 1 or 2 shot everything. I would put it on mastery but at this point all that is left for me to do is run through the caves and places I haven’t been, and the game play will be the same if the enemies take 2 shots or 4.

I havent even needed loot/gold since I maxed BS, and to think about it, the only reason I ever needed gold was to level BS lol. I added the thief perk for extra gold and treasure from chests, and I routinely find 200-300 gold plus 1000+ gold items and just sell them. Anybody else find a lot of the thief perks useless though? Most revolve around money, which you don’t need in this game at all if you are a thief. Kind of counter productive.

Yeah once you get to the point where you can afford the house in Solitude with full upgrades, I think it comes to 32K Gold, everything else is cheap. With Alchemy you can buy out entire stocks of ingredients from vendors and make potions that sell for 1K+.

I still have a habit of hoarding Gold in these types of games though and try to do it without the use of exploits or cheats. ie. I’ll wait for vendors to reset their Gold and continued to loot dead bodies and not use things like console command player.additem or endlessly grinding out high selling items.

I remember in New Vegas talking to Mr. House he said something along the lines of him spending 850K Caps trying to retrieve the Platinum Chip so I made it my goal to have more money than him. Think I got to around 400K playing normally before stopping.

This might be random but I’m a lvl 20 Nord and getting the hang of everything and trying to explore non-combat activities (i.e. smithing, enchanting, etc.) while trying to focus on two-handed, heavy armor, and lock-picking for now.

Question is: After every dragon, I usually frequent Whiterun and Solitude to sell the bones and scales; is there any reason why I shouldn’t be selling them?

If you’re a light armor user, Light Dragon Armor is the best light armor in the game. There’s a heavy version, but it’s not as good as Daedric armor.

So being solely heavy armor, it’s of no use to me but maybe a hundred or so gold? I might use it via light armor in my next character but since I’m on my first playthrough, I was worried that I’ll need these at some point.

Well, the main thing is that Daedric needs ebony, which is extremely hard to find. Dragons are infinite, and you’ll have more than enough scale and bone to craft the armor, you just have to be at 100 smithing and take the perk.

daedric needs ebony? really? i thought it only needed daedra hearts or something

Both, actually, along with leather strips.

Man, if only these made it into the game

Bethesda are a bunch of cunts for not putting any of that into the game.

Holy shit, better than any community made mod I’ve seen. And that’s in one week. All that stuff needs to be in the next DLC.

Time constraints, man. A common problem in all games these days.

At the very least, these can be added on down the line.
