If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

Quick question: When you install a game (360), do you have to load the save from the same place the game is installed to get the benefit? I’m asking because I have Skyrim installed to a flashdrive but I load the save from my harddrive. The load times are still really long but, the disc doesn’t spin… Confused o_O.

I’m enjoying the sneaking playstyle a hell of a lot more. easily the most immersive and tactic-oriented playstyle in the game. yeah running in and blowing shit up is also fun but if you play sneak, you actually have to take the time and appreciate Bethesda’s dungeon design even though it seems like more of the same each time.

This. I’m going a battlemage style, so I just don’t have the defense to stand up to regular bandits, even when I’m maxing out heavy armor stats. The majority of my time is just spent sneaking, shooting an arrow for that 2x damage, then running away and hiding, and repeating. Then when I get discovered, it’s all about spamming summons with rune traps, then running backwards while spraying Frostbite for slowdown/stamina loss.

Seems like a pretty ridiculous way to play, but it’s pretty fun. Gets pretty hairy sometimes too, since I get killed by axe/mace users in a few hits.

Finally got level 100 conjuration, one dremora lord is bad ass already, two dremora lords is unstoppable on the ground (can’t do jack shit against dragons until they land). I just walk around with a ward on the left hand and healing hands on the right hand so my weak-ass Lydia doesn’t die. lol.

Lately I’ve been putting all my dead bodies on top of eachother when I clear a dungeon. It’s this weird thing I’ve been doing lately. Just putting everyone into assuming positions, like they just happened to die while humping each other. I think I either have too much time on my hands, or I have some other sort of issue. I swear I laugh like a 14 year old every time I do it though.

wow…got some good playing time in this the other day, and finally did some shit.

first off, it was my first time playing since NOVEMBER last year. And the missing Lydia suddenly shows up, in a random fucking bar. My current companion was missing when this happened, and eventually i found that entering/exiting the building let me switch companions between the two. Long story short, the new companion got sacrificed to Boethisia or whatever that Daedra’s name is. Welcome back, Lydia.

Anywho, finally got 100 smithing. Why is Dragon armor stats lower than Glass armor, for light armor?

And lastly, watching a dragon land in the College at Winterhold was fucking hilarious. That Elder Dragon lost his entire health in like 0.00004 of a second. Thanks for the free soul/bones/scales, sucker.

so…i got the dragon hunting quest from the companions, but the stupid dragon won’t show up when i get to the spot. it’s in a mountain, and i’d remember the name if i wasn’t drunk. this a glitch or is the game trolling me?

Lol random. I went there to train magic at the college, and when I got there by carriage a dragon was fucking shit up. I had just fought one and had no potions or anything. So I ran to college only to find doors locked cuz it was my first time there.

Suddenly dragon tries to land near me but in other side of locked gate, and the mages guild and archmage pushed his shit in

Ah yes, then the horse sniffs a baddie 2 miles away and runs off like all hell then disappears. That was annoying so I just stopped using horses.

I’ve just been playing New Vegas instead since I got the game + all DLC for 75% off during the steam sale. If only it was as pretty as Skyrim.

I really need to learn how to do proper mods though. Some mods I really like for NV aren’t DLC compatible and I would like to fix that (when patches aren’t available)
