If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

Vapirism is always made more of an annoyance than a plus, an invisibility spell really? thats what I get for everyone wanting to kill me? cmon.

I thought the best sneaking armor was Cicero’s Clothing from the Dark Brotherhood main quest but I digress I have yet to get Ebony Mail.
Smithing isn’t really broken it just takes awhile to get all the resources, my money goes down the drain fast but man is it easy to get the stuff you want.
Illusion is pretty good magic school IMO, Paralyze, fury, courage all are great tools. I love casting Fury in the shadows and watch the enemy kill themselves. Or on Master I use courage to help my companions tank for me.
Restoration = Most used magic school IMO, espicially in master I can’t get enough of that stuff.

I haven’t played Daggerfall but why does Lycanthropy suck? You get to transform into a badass werewolf that pretty much rapes everything in sight for the downside of not getting a rested bonus. Which in my experience I hardly ever sleep so this problem is pretty much non-existant. Yes everyone attacks you on sight but when are you going to transform into a werewolf in public anyways?

Bah humbug, Greatswords FTW!

Sneaking once at a max level is pretty easy-mode, kill just about everything in one hit and nobody can ever see you.

Giants, Mammoths, Wolves, Spriggans, Trolls, Sabre Cats, Dwemer Spiders, Falmer, Humans, Chorous, Dwemer Spheres, Dwemer Centurions, Giant Spiders, Bears, Werewolves, Vampires, Flame Atronachs, Frost Atronachs, Storm Atronachs, Dremora, Ice Wraiths, Wispmothers, Wisps, Ghosts, Dragon Priests, Magic Anomalies,

Yeah I think its pretty diverse.

Nothing really negative from being a werewolf besides the no sleep bonus and you can’t loot corpses if you are a werewolf. Of course you can always go back later as a human and loot them so that is kind of moot. Not to mention even if you do go into a town or someone sees you and there is a bounty, it doesn’t go against you it goes against your lycan form.

What I would like is for the final 2H perk to let you dual wield 2handers instead of the 25% chance paralyzing power attack.

Dual Wielding 2H weapons would negate the point of even having a 1H weapon, the concept of that for Elder Scrolls is just stupid.

Um, 1handers hit almost as hard as 2handers in this game (seriously, the difference is like 100-200 damage and they do 1100+ damage as it is so if anything regular 2H doesn’t hit as hard as it does in just about everything else ever made, but at the very high end with min/maxing up the ass that difference goes to ~900 damage where 1H is doing 5500 damage and 2H 6400) and you can dual wield them, or have a shield (which are ridiculously strong, as usual, too bad it’s so easy to hit the armor cap). There are also perks (lol talents) for boosting DW speed so being able to DW 2handers wouldn’t really do anything seeing as DW would still be better DPS overall so it would just be for flavor and badass factor.

Something I’d like to see is a mod that lets my followers ride horses alongside me instead of always running and falling behind, especially if I happen to own more than one horse. The mod should include a stable for me to manage, such as storing any owned horses there so they don’t follow me whenever I fast travel. Paired with a multiple companions mod my group can ride around Skyrim looking like a posse from RDR.

Hell even if no one makes such a mod I’ll probably do it myself since I’ll be getting the mod kit once it’s out anyway.

Saw this request on the bethsoft forums so chances are it will get made, maybe not fully how you like it but Oblivion did have mods that let you have stables so you could store/withdraw hunter pets so horses shouldn’t really be an issue.

Smithing is broken as shit you make yourself is way better than any shit you find. Enchant that stuff and you’re guy is basically a walking god.

Greatswords suck in this game compared to Warhammers. Some enemies are so armored, criticals do practically nothing so doing them 20% of the time when fully perked out isn’t worth it. Warhammers do more damage overall and ignore 75% of armor with all perks. Basically they do so much more damage over time, there is no reason to ever use a greatsword of equivalent material. This is very apparent on master difficulty.

Lycanthropy doesn’t give you any real bonuses compared to what it brought in Daggerfall where it gave you hella stats:

+40 on Strength, Speed, Agility and Endurance in human and beast mode. Stats couldn’t go over 100 in Daggerfall.
+30 on Hand-to-hand, Climbing, Running, Stealth, Swimming and Critical Strike in both human and beast mode. Skills like these could go over 100.
Immunity to disease in human form in addition to iron and steel weapons too in beast mode
Your wolf and human forms were separate persons for crime purposes. Only if people see you transform.

The only downsides were you had to eat people twice a month, transformed during full moon, and werewolves hunters would come after you. You could just eat the werewolf hunters though as werewolves were unfuckwithable.

Vampires only got +20 to stats and +30 to skills and had to eat people everyday but they got immunity to iron and steel weapons all the time and a levitation spell. Your health also drained very quickly during the day and in holy places so there was no real reason to be a vampire.

In Skyrim the crime bounties are sepreate for Werewolves and their human counterparts, and the downside of being a Werewolf in Skyrim is very miniscule if at all not noticeable at all. Vampires though should get buffed. Just because they weren’t as good as they were in Daggerfall doesn’t mean it sucks. You still pretty much kill everything in your path maybe besides Giants and Dragon Priests.

Stat wise I’d give it to warhammers, but I just <3 greatswords so regardless of “Logic” I’m sticking with it, besides i’m on master playthrough anyways and i’m enjoying the challenge.

Hopefully someone can help me.

I took on one of the Companion’s Quest’s from Vilkas… It’s one of the rescue mission ones. Anyways, I made the mistake of taking him along (apparently he can die and Aela and Farkas cannot, it seems). Long story short, he died and I failed the mission. I used the console command to resurrect him, but I am kind stuck in this failed mission. Everytime I try to talk to another Companion member about another mission they say I am already one for Vilkas so they are unable to give me another one. Needless to say, this is mega annoying because I was interested in doing the werewolf curse quests for Vilkas and Farkas as well as the quest for Aela where you retrieve some crap that she wants that I can’t remember the name of.

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix this? I’m kinda avoiding the main quest line in order to do side quests right now, and completing all the Companions quests was something that I wanted to do.

Hopefully one of you guys have the answer, because this is immensely infuriating. Ugh.

P.S. Has anyone had a glitch with Aela where she disappears with nowhere to be found and you literally have to manually respawn here with the console command and then she now has NONE of the items that you gave to her? I lost some dragon scales and bones doing that shit and I was NOT amused, ALONG with pretty a good bow, dagger and shield that I made for her. It really seems like Aela is the most glitched companion of them all.

Uh if you completed the quest line the main Companion NPCs stay at the final dungeon for a bit, but thats as far as I can help you out. Resurrecting in console is usually not a good idea because the game registered as they died. Its only useful if you are using hirelings or non-quest NPCs.

Can’t you just load your autosave from when you entered the dungeon?

… speaking of Daggerfall…, you could climb back then…, which was lovely …

Well, I kinda agree with the guys’ complaining on enchanting. Putting 2 chants on an item yourself and being able to train very quickly with dechanting and lesser soul gems…, is so much better then 90% of what you can find.

Thing is though, if you try an rp build and stop abusing or even neglect certain systems you will find more battle enjoyment.

I think alchemy is the best skill in the game alongside enchanting and smithing, cause later poisens are insane and easy to mix.

With every new iteration, werewolves slowly get more and more shitty.

RP Build = allot more fun. Like I actually wear clothes in the cities, its weird you know to just go wandering around with my giant sword at my back. Or to go walk around in cities wearing obvious Dark Brotherhood armor.

I can understand if Werewolves weren’t as good as previous installments but is this really something to whine about? Werewolves still pretty much kick everything’s ass still and its pretty fun to do so.

Grinding ench/bs is alright, I just don’t see how people like to do it early and grind ten levels without getting any combat perks. Seems like it just makes the game more difficult.

1.2 patch is fucked. I updated, played around for about 30 minutes then promptly reverted back to 1.1.

Do not update. 1.1 might be buggy but it isn’t a broken mess like 1.2 is.

Seriously Bethesda, just release the creation kit already and let the community fix the game ourselves.

That’s all I have is RP builds, if it had multiplayer and pissing contests left and right then I’ll be serious. But that one YouTube vid of the chick singing a Skyrim cover isn’t bad.

That’s Bethesda games for you. Granted, there’s more than that, but Beth games seem barren in the overworld.

That too.

Game’s fun, but I want to try Dark Souls now. Now to convince my friend to get it too…

Really wish speech was useful like it is in New Vegas. There’s never any dialogue choices that make you feel like a badass. The interrogation mission in new vegas was awesome.
