If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

So, just stumbled across a small bandit camp…parked the horse round the corner ( not sure if they can be killed)…

Edit: nice, definitely gna look into it.

Oh hey, there’s a sprint button.
That will teach me to look into the menus in more detail.

This game is almost overwhelming. There is just so much to do and so much to see and so many people to talk to.

Read them books ya’ll

Spoiler

Tip for ya’ll - dont forget to read books. Not only can they increase some of your skills but they also drop quests. There is a room in the Companions house that has 2 or 3 books that give quests.

holy shitting fuck Dragon Priests are tough. I play on Master because I’ve relished the TES challenge since daggerfall and my god. This is hard. Despite my OCD of picking the right gear for the right situation, Molokei is an asshole.

One thing I wished they kept from Fallout 3 was locational damage. One well placed headshot with an arrow should kill most human enemies if they aren’t wearing a helmet. I’ve had bandits run at me with multiple arrows sticking out of their face. I would’ve liked to be able to fire an arrow to cripple someone’s leg or shoot their arm to make them drop their weapon.

Maybe they figured that would make archery too OP? Most people are already saying archery is pretty powerful. Plus with no VATS and a melee combat system where you just swing at air it’d be hard to target a person’s limb in a sword fight.

Okay.

I just got to the first dragon.

And bitch-slapped it, first try, like I’d already got my fight money and was just messing with that ho.

Damn… EZ, like, not even meriting the full, correctly spelled “easy”.

I beat it a twohanded shock sword, and I’d never used a twohander before, lol.

Wait until you have to work for that fight money against Ancient Dragons yo.

Can’t wait, actually, lol.

Everything I’ve been up against so far has been cake.

Well that was silly. Entered my house in whiterun to see all my furniture gone, and items scattered all around. Thought this was the new “rob your ass” feature. Left and re entered and its all back but everything that was nicely arranged is all over the floor. My house… :frowning:

Did anyone of you playing on PC try any of those tweaks from link that I posted? I tried turning vsync off but haven’t ran fraps to see the fps im getting and I really don’t notice any improvement. I also changed the FOV to 90 but don’t really notice any difference. I dunno if I can go higher with that or what the max is, I just used 90 because that’s what someone else said they had it set to.

i didn’t notice any real difference with vsync, but i think the frame rate is a little better after it.

also the fov thing, i typed in ‘fov=120’ into the console command (hit ~ to bring it up) and the difference was noticeable. you can change it in game

woohoo got astronach stone. 50 extra magicka, 50% absorb spells and magicka regens at 50% BUT here’s the catch. You can disenchant master robes that give 150% increase mana regen and just slap that shit on armor. I am gonna wreck every spellcaster now, for free.

Too bad you can’t disenchant uniques for their effect…

Oh these guys were smart… you don’t get the 150% restoration bonus on heavy armor With a grand soul gem it only gives you 10% faster regen haha.

I have to admit, I like enchanting in this game.

anybody know where i can find a heavy armor trainer?

Farkas I think his name is. Companion dude in Whiterun.

What is the cap level in Skyrim? I’m level 20 and there is so many skill trees I have yet to cover but im not sure whether or not I am able to max them out with my current level.

50 is the soft cap then it slows down, think you can get like to 70 if you get everything to 100. Though seeing as you can probably use the jail trick again… probably whatever level you want lol.

How does the jail trick work? I know it is said you lose skill points in jail but which skill points would be deducted? Also, would your level remain the same if you stay in jail?

What you would do before is just get arrested for a long period of time, or just many times. This causes your skills to randomly go down (or up for the thief based ones, sometimes) then you retrain or level up the skills you lost again and voila. More levels.

You did not lose levels before. Probably won’t now either.
