If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

Working on dat 100 blacksmithing. I hope you don’t need ALL the smithing talents to get dragon armor, otherwise I will be upset!

so apparently im a vampire now. it’s got some nice bonuses like resistance to disease and stuff, but the “youre screwed in daylight” thing gets a little old. anyone know how to get rid of vampirism?

cant really decide whether i want to be a meleer with heavy armor or a full blown spellcaster. i feel so damn squishy with the cloth armor and the random 1hko’s i get with melee attacks are pretty satisfying, but ive been able to kill some stuff as a spellcaster hiding (hiding like a bitch behind lydia) that would have killed me as a meleer.

there are so many things to do in this game its hard to keep track of it all.

Yeah, most of the quests are designed to take you to places you haven’t been to. My guess is that there’s 1 quest for every single location in the game minus ability stones.

Yikes, super disappoint that dragon armor is worse than daedric. what the flying fuck lol wasted all that time and money… cunts. It is very light though so I guess that’s the tradeoff… Oh wait what the fuck, no dragon weapons… so you still want daedric for the hardest hitting stuff.

Time to run the numbers for both upgraded. See the real difference.

Hmmm, so legendary daedric is better overall but requires 100 for smithing. otherwise dragonplate legendary is 2 points better than daedric epic in every piece. Which is nothing even with full armor perks. Basically boils down to looks

omg you get to see the end game armors!

Daedric > Dragonplate (heavy) > Dragonscale (light)[/details]

Honestly think I’m just gonna keep my Daedric set lol.

So basically, once you get to 90 or 100 smithing, you can take your dragon bones and dragon scales and sell the majority of them. If you have 50 speech perk to sell any item to any vendor this becomes a HUUUUUUGE money machine as you can keep buying already filled soul gems to power level the enchants and selling them back and such. Since money is restored the next work day, it should be pretty damn easy to get cash. By this time you’re in your late 30s and should have at least 1 house.

I wanna be a werewolf. Vampires are overated and the get screwed in daylight thing is getting dull. It would be awesome if you can inflict either lycan curse or vapirism on random npc just for lols and get them to be attacked by the guards. Anyway, is the ingame model for werewolf universal for all species and gender or is there some subtle differences?

Just bought my 2nd house in Riften. So much better than the house in Whiterun.

however if a house can give me a smithing station, in addition to the alchemy and enchanting stations that will be my perma home.

might even settle with a wife there.

The best house is in solitude for 25k and it comes with alchemy and enchanting… I don’t think I would be welcome there if I was to join the stormcloak rebels though… lol

the thing is Riften is home to the thieves guild so its easier to drop stolen stuff off. and Riften home has alchemy and enchanting too.

in addition to the alchemy table you get about 4 alchemy recipes you probablly dont know about, plus a ton of alchemy ingredients.

you also get about 5 soul gems of different grades if you get the enchanting station.

oh almost forgot you get Iona your thane companion for Riften. i got mad bitches on me yo!

Sounds nice, I’ve been too busy spending my cash on skills :frowning: I will have enough to buy some houses later on. Are the storage chests linked?

man this game. i love it. the sense of immersion is so much greater than in oblivion, which i also loved.

i spent a good amount of time last night just wandering around. I went to Whiterun and god damn that place looks awesome. it’s not awesome in a majestic High Hrothgar way, but more of a realistic medieval fortress way, and it rocks.

The way this game draws you into the world seems much more solid and convincing to me than Oblivion. I feel more interested in the history and the drama behind everything going on.

The Companion questline is amazing. Dem Werewolves yo!

no sadly they are not linked.

what i like to do though is let my companion, whoever it might be, to carry all of my shit that needs to be moved since they dont seem to have a weight limit. then i just fast travel to my other house and unload. a little tedious but it gets the job done.

Damn.

You [insert standard racial epithetof choice] are fast.

I’ve been wandering around, found two shouts (pointless without dead dragons), killed a fledgling vampire, talked to a jarl, and that’s about it.

I… have stuff to say… but too busy… playing Skyrim… no… time… too epic…

I have 12 shouts, but still have to learn a bunch of words to complete them. Gonna take a while… definitely a few hundred hours worth of running around in this game.

Only level 6 or so, learned the hard way the giants near Whiterun are not to be fucked with…at least with my equipment. Loving the look of that armor, guess I should invest in smithing/enchanting for my warriorish ( with some magic on the side) guy.

Also, first dragon was fucking sick ( yeah Ive been taking my time lol).

Oh and has had any success or tried a dual wield build yet?

I thought those Giants were Ideal for leveling up your Archery skills. I will have one follow me, and i’ll jump over a rock that they can’t pass over or move around and keep shooting them with arrows until they died. I leveled twice doing it.

And here’s a money trick

I’ve been rockin’ dual long swords since the escape.

I’m level 6 too, and haven’t whacked a dragon, as yet.

how u finding it? Just got some decent weapons but i’m pretty squishy right now. Found magic to be more effective for the claw quest, so just trying different playstyles before I commit some perks. Defo wanna go full dw at some point tho

Hmmm people are finding the dragons hard. I want to know which dragons they’re fighting because I’ve killed so many dragons that I can’t even absorb their souls anymore and only a couple have been challenging.

I love it.

I dual wield spells, too, lol.

I did the Claw Quest before I ever enteted that town lol.
