IMO If your gonna upgrade your PC, I’d say wait and go that route. Just wait till the people in the Nexus Fourm’s start producing there mods. Those dudes are pro at it, and I’ve got my share of Oblivion mods from the Nexus Website/ Forums ( Custom Made Houses, Weapons, Mounts, Spells, You name it.)
So to see what there gonna do with skyrim on PC is gonna make it 100 times better then the console versions. (An it already says on the Nexus website " Mods Incoming" lol).
But if you cant wait just go ahead and grab the PS3 version. Game is so good the way it is already.
Oh yea has anyone noticed they brought back Soundtracks from Morrowind. ( One there older Elder Scrolls games that I played for 2 years straight). They really trying to make me stay in the house for a month.
Right now I’m pondering about that question, since PC > PS3 when you factor in the graphics and modding community. Problem is I don’t have a PC that can run it, but I might get one when Diablo 3 comes out, so my dilemma is choosing either instant gratification by getting it on PS3 (which I have for sure) or save for whenever I get a PC. (which I’m unsure)
Get it on PS3 now and in a year or so when you build yourself a nice new PC it will be 20 dollars on Steam and you can play it again with mods right from the start.
Somewhat bad news. The UI for Skyrim is done in Scaleform (which is supposed to be flash-esque?). Basically if the interface files happen to be protected we can kiss customizing the UI goodbye unless Bethesda decides to change that.
So I’ve been playing for the last 10 hours straight (lol!).
This game is GODLIKE. The possibilities are endless. The map is huge. The music is epic. And especially the intro is FUCKING EPIC. The way you can level different things and completely control your own strenghts and such is perfect. And the amount of quests are overwhelming.
This game does not dissapoint.
There are a few glitches though. The first random fight I had with a dragon he dug himself underground and I was like The Fuck? Dragons dig tunnels now?
And random pillars started moving through walls and shit.
Real niggas get that shit on steam and dont have to go anywhere.
Anyhow, been playing for the last hour or so. Its pretty dope so far and it looks pretty fucking awesome. Gonna have a smoke and head back to Skyrim. I told The Wife if anyone calls for me just tell them I went to Skyrim and I wont be back for a long time. hehe I hype.
This game is fucking amazing. I wont be playing anymore Demon’s Souls or BF3 for a while. I tried to play some Demon’s Souls tonight while takin’ a smoke break and it just seemed so…empty. Im hooked. My oldest daughter has the day off tomorrow so Im gonna make her watch the younger kids while I veg out on that shit all day. God im a horrible father.
Seriously, I fucking hated playing vanilla Oblivion but Skyrim has so much … polish in comparison. I am almost level 11 and I have had all of 0 crashes so far. I don’t know what the fuck they did, but this shit is so stable I can’t believe it.
I also lol @ the metacritic reviews comparing this game to DA2 and saying that this is the same shit as Oblivion. Cunts couldn’t be any more wrong.
I’m playing the PC right now and ive played for 6+ hours i think and i have only encountered one bug and it was very minor. Game hasnt crashed yet either. Great game so far. Far and out much better than Oblivion.
