And the real kicker is that bible scholars don’t even know who wrote them.
point of evolution? its a theory yet, they want to make it a fact. Well since I’ve never seen anything evolve in the past 30 years so I still think its bull shit. And no im not taking sides. I dont believe you should force anyone to believe in their beliefs, Jesus didnt go around telling people join me or be killed, no he walked around asking people. Yet teachers and other atheist try to teach a buch of bull to kids at school. People should decide for them self what they want to believe in. So ya any troll replys will be ignored, and most likely I tell you to kill your self

In the scientific sense, “theory” in this case essentially means a concept so well-supported by evidence that it is considered factual in the practical sense.
The fact that you expect things to evolve before your eyes demonstrates to me that you don’t understand the concept sufficiently to decide whether or not it is “bull”.
I’ve never heard of a teacher telling anyone to “join me or be killed.”
As a matter of fact, I’ve never heard of an atheist telling anyone to “join me or be killed” either.
There are numerous instances in history of religious groups telling people to join them or be killed.
Of course, that’s just a theory. In other words, a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses. And really–facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses? How dare people expect one another to base their beliefs on such things!
Good thing this isn’t a troll reply.
Your mom’s ass is so big that by the time she got done walking past the TV, it was like Frodo and the gang never even left the Shire.
raw creationism fosters toxic behavior and beliefs about the world around you. The other does not. It does matter what you believe in, especially when you have a seat in committee dedicated to science. A committee that has the power to decide whether or not things like Stem Cell research is acceptable.
must not have paid attention in biology class or chemistry class when they talk about drugs, and bacteria evolving to resit drugs. Fossils are also a bunch of bullshit right.
its also obvious that you don’t have a Holistic approach because you purposely limit your understanding of the world to experiences limited to you.
I have many reasons for not beleving in evo, but thats the point its my opinion. Then again, extremists take everything to a whole other level. Like extremists muslims, wanting to kill everyone and wipe out everyone. Not everyone who believes in religion has the same point of view. And many non extremists do like, extremists.
Also extremists that think video games ruin kids minds
Yes, i am aware of that. It still fits (in a way) with a theists belief: Since a universe is still basically a mass of energy, the energy that was transposed into our present universe is god or from God, where ever he is from. No matter what people have been saying, the fact of the matter is that this universe was never eternal, it has been proven to have a start and it is also said to have come into start due to an outside source that made the energy and God has to be immaterial in being if he was the one who transposed this greater energy that the universe (and it’s matter) needed.
wrong, we know that at one point the Universe began to expand rapidly. That doesn’t equate to a starting point, maybe relative to somebody who needs an reason as to why are we here, but the big bang does not state that there was nothing before it.
All it states is that at point y the universe began expanding.
Wrong. While it is true that we know that the universe began to expand, it’s scientific fact that the universe had a beginning. period. As for the big bang, no theist ever believed “nothing” was before the existent of the universe, hense why we don’t see any rationality with any suggestion that the universe began with out a transpose-er of the energy claimed to be needed for the beginning to start.
Everybody has a right to an opinion, but with that right comes an obligation to base that opinion on some kind of factual underpinning.
For example, it is my right to believe that Mitt Romney is an android being controlled by an alien brain with prehensile tendrils that lives in his abdomen. However, I don’t have the facts or the understanding of androids to back up this opinion. Therefore, I can’t give my own opinion very much credence. Simply having the right to hold that opinion doesn’t make my opinion worthy of holding.
As incredible as it seems, all the available data suggests that Mitt Romney is a human being and is not being controlled by an alien brain that lives in his abdomen. Therefore, I believe that Mitt Romney is a human being, because that is the best way to form an opinion: with a hardy basis in fact. To form an opinion, it is best to be informed.
The findings of multiple scientific disciplines–paleontology, genetics, morphology, developmental biology, etc.–unanimously suggest that we evolved over time. This is important. What’s also important is that none of these disciplines have ever discovered a piece of evidence that contradicted evolution. For example, there has never been a discovery of a fossil rabbit dating back to the Precambrian Era. All the fossil rabbits we’ve uncovered date back exactly to the time in which we’d expect to find them. Evolution is perhaps the most self-consistent concept in all the sciences. It is as reliable as dropping a rock and expecting it to fall down.
In the marketplace of ideas, the ones that stand up most strongly to intense scrutiny are the ones that survive. Evolution has stood up to the most intense scrutiny and young Earth creationism has not.
As you yourself suggested, this still does not mean that you have to accept evolution as true, because it’s your right to believe whatever you want–no matter how closely or not closely it relates to real world evidence.
But even so, don’t you think that a member of a scientific governing body should have some obligation to acknowledge the findings of science? Even if you believe evolution is bull, you can’t possibly believe that this man is any more fit for his job than an atheist would be fit to be the Pope.

no its not, Im sure my science book knows more than you about the subject, and I have never heard of hard evidence that the Universe had a finite begining where everything suddenly materialized. The big bang does not state that THE ENERGY WASN’T SUDDENLY CREATED, ALL IT STATES IS THAT THE ENERGY PRESENT AT THIS SMALL POINT BEGAN TO EXPAND. HAD THE THEORY STATED THAT ENERGY WAS CREATED AT THIS CRITICAL MOMENT, THEN IT WOULD BE ALSO EXPLICITLY SAY THAT TIME ALSO BEGAN HERE, AND YOU WOULD BE CORRECT. BUT YOU AREN’T.
Ok, I didn’t want to bring out the big guns, but there is only one way to end this debate

I came into this thread thinking a congressman had called EVO “Lies from hell”.
I was like "But I saw Infiltration win it on YouTube…"
Didn’t expect a religious debate.
Apes and monkeys in the wild open the banana from the end opposite to the one that this guy indicates.
More importantly, I open a banana by breaking it in half.
believe it or not there are christian scientist, who have written whole books, and shown many flaws in evo. People find bones also and can claim they are our ancestors, yet they could have been simulator to humans in some way. Yet you cant say they were are ancestors, they might have been some other creature all together. There are many animals and plants that are still around since the dinos, like the horseshoe crab, and a few others that have been around for ever. The human body has been fighting different germs over how many years now? Not just that we eat different foods, and are a lot more heathlly then people back in the middle ages. Mostly cause over the years we find new adventions, though countless testing, and coming up with new ideas, and experiments. Thats not evo, thats just people coming up with new ideas, which happen every day, and through hours of experiments, and testing which took us years.
Back then people didnt have these things cause they didnt have as long as we did if that makes any sense. People dont know something unless they try, and try, and fiddle with things. Theres zillions of possibles on this planet, which no one person can accomplish in there life time, so there testing, and shit gets moved down for the next gen of people to do more testing and find out more shit. Though if you believe in evo good for you, im not going to related to a monkey.

lol, just read some more. and by more I don’t mean anime/manga
“they could have been simulator to humans in some way”
I laughed.
