Ideas for Street Fighter 5

Some ethnicities have no or very few face and body hair.

I believe that there was actually some art from one of the old Capcom artists of an older Ryu with facial hair. That said, the guy probably just, you know, shaves.

Make it super-based like 3rd strike. Add parry. Give me Urien

Basically 3rd strike.

I would wait until next gen consoles are released to talk about SF5 on a serious level (Wii U doesn’t count). The FG scene has a alot of games right now, and as long as these games are actually good and unique in their own way, I don’t see a serious need for another fucking Street Fighter (and I love me some Street Fighter, but there’s alot going on right now).

Who told you she was half Swedish?

-Hand-drawn 2d graphics
-No input leniency
-No free ultra for getting your ass beat
-No more than 30 characters

Retcon it.

Speaking of retcons, I’m calling it now: Gouetsu will be in SF5 somehow. I’m still irritated that SF4 brought Gouken back to life.

I fucking lost it when he crapped out the Metsu Hadouken.

Cast:
SFII (8) Ryu, Chun Li, Cammy, Guile, Zangief, Dhalsim, M. Bison, Akuma.
SFA (8) Rose, Sakura, Cody, Guy, Birdie, Karin, R. Mika, Rolento.
SFIII (2) Alex, Urien.
SFIV (2) C. Viper, Abel.
SFEX (2) Skullomania, D. Dark.
SFV (8) including new boss character.

Obviously this would piss many people off, but I think you need to make room for new faces, and get rid of so many damn shoto characters.

How many times!!!

SFEX was not part of the official SF storyline and the characters are owned by Arika not Capcom. SFV will not have any EX characters.

I’ve never understood this mentality. There seems to be a substantial part of the FGC that believes that spending hours in training mode should entitle the player to beat everyone who doesn’t spend hours in training mode. Why not just make all of the combos relatively easy and leave training mode for setups and learning how moves interact. I’m not saying make everything braindead one button combos or anything like that, but would the game really be any worse if, say, every link was 3 frames and plinking was irrelevant? Would the top 8 at EVO be greatly affected? I doubt it. The game’s mostly about outguessing your opponent and developing good reflexes, but most people who play probably don’t even get to a level where that’s the main focus, because they can’t get significant damage even if they guess correctly.

Ideas for SFV?

Release date should be in 2020. Please let SF4 and SF X T breath as long as The SF 3 series and SF 2 series did.

What if SF5 had a mixture of characters that can run and characters that can dash?

At the very least, give the game a good buffer so that links aren’t affected by lag.

Am I the only person who wants NEW CHARACTERS instead of old characters that we have played for over 25 years?!?!

Wouldnt SFV cast be more focused on the younger characters being older, some old characters, and some new characters? Perhaps 10 or more years after SF3.
Heres my example cast.

Adults/Teens that used to be teens/kids-Yun, Yang, Sakura, Ibuki, Elena, Sean, Ken’s Son, Makoto, Juri, Remy, Karin.
New Characters- Maybe a child between Rose/Guy. A kid from Chun-Li’s orphanage. New Boss? Cody’s Brother (forget his name)
Old Characters that could still apply- Bison, Akuma, Q, Dhalsim, Gouken, Urien/Gill, Necro/Twelve(or a new robot), Charlie/Shadow, Cammy/Juni/Juli

Also, i think there shouldnt be too many characters. Its a blessing and a curse.

The old characters could play similar (or differently) but have adjusted moves or new moves/normals. The New characters could be hybrids or unique.

Sean, Ken’s son, and Akuma would cover the 3 shoto rule with Sean or Ken’s kid being like Ryu and Ken and Akuma as himself. Sakura could also be the new Ryu and perhaps Sean or Ken’s son fights differently. Remy is the charge character, Yun and Yang could change styles drastically this time with maybe Yang having taken martial arts seriously and having new moves while Yun using his old style but more wildly. Ibuki could learn new moves being a ninja master. The new characters have free reign. The returning characters that are basically masters or ageless could get new moves.

Stylistically I would like to see the return of handrawn 2D sprites.

I would like 10 years after 3rd strike, so everyone is older, I really want some new fighters.

Everyone who says go back to 2D sprites, man thats not going to happen. 2D/3D graphics is the way to go now and I would love to see this on the newer consoles with better graphics.

its more of a wishlist anyway. I doubt anything on my list will actually happen. A game without Ryu and Ken? Blasphamy.

Well, for SFIII NG, that’s pretty much all they did include. Remy and Elena were teenagers?
