I see what you did there.
Alright, for serious…
- No ultras, no focus attacks, no parries
- No hit confirm into super nonsense (least of all on a trade!)
- Stronger anti-airs in general
- Greater reward for landing an overhead (and maybe more overhead equipped characters)
- Less damaging combos except for punishes and ones starting from high risk jumpins
- No useless specials; no unsafe on hit specials
- Ditch the current art style. I’d personally like to see a return to sprites, but if they stick with 2.5D at least make it look as nice as Marvel.
These next few might be more controversial based on everyone’s apparent infatuation with execution barriers, but here goes:
8) Command grab characters’ jumps should be 360 locked ala Skullgirls; standing 720s for all!
9) Input buffer for links; you shouldn’t have to grind for hours in training mode just to get a character’s BNB down (would probably help the online too)
10) Keep the input shortcuts but give each player the option to turn them off to appease old school players
I would gladly take Oro, Remy or just about any character (other than Juri) over Elena any day.
Give it to one or more of the following:

Not joking.

No more “select your super/ultra” before a match. If you’re going to give me multiple supers, let me have access to them all.
I wouldn’t be surprised if SF5 dropped the links for two reasons;
Right now the genre is caught between a dominating offline following and the reality that netplay is the way of the future. Netplay doesn’t favor links.
Secondly, companies will follow the average go for broke mass appeal mindless consumerism food for braindead fratboy doctrine and capcom is no different. Braindead 2nd place trophy genners don’t want to mash out 10,000 EWGF like our friends in the cross tekken forums. Dedication and delayed payout doesn’t draw sales as effectively as instant gratification.
If you ever wonder why games always seem to fall one step short of their true potential, just look at who developers cater to now. Put all wishful thinking aside. SF5 will be no different.
No more East Asian women!!! Perhaps Gouken’s daughter will be the exception, Chun Li and Juri but let’s have some more diversity… Asia isn’t the only Continent which has martial arts.
Elena, Cammy and half of Karin were non pacific rim. A lot of martial arts do originate from East Asia… last time I was in Shanghai, there were whole parks of women of all ages doing T’ai-chi, similar to the Chun stage on Alpha 3. I don’t really see that in Europe, alas. How about a playable Kumiko character from KKII? That would rock so hard, and by now, she’d be a grandmaster in the Miyagi style.

In fact, make every one from the first 3 KK films playable in SFV, especially the nutjob from 3 with the greased down ponytail.
- Put in every SF character ever
- Use variable team-based gameplay (1,2 or 3 fighters)
- Have fighting styles based on each iteration of SF
- Street Fighter 5: Dream Match Never Ends
- ???
- PROFIT
Lol Zangief with U1 and U2. There is no right answer.
SF5 should be able to sync with some form of bracketing software/server so keeping track of players, pools and who won or lost can be automated.
No focus attacks
Lose the ink art style
That’s all I got.
Karin, though European looking is from Japan.
While I don’t dispute there are a lot of martials arts for women in Asia, I would like to see characters from a different continent.
Was disappointed in Alpha 3 because they could’ve made R.Mika and Karin different nationalities.
Ryu should reveal how he stayed perfectly clean shaven for nearly the entire series. Same for Akuma. Unless their wimps who can’t grow a beard.
I though Karin was half Swedish? Still, she’s all woman, with a fantastic playstyle IMO, and deserves another shot above the indignity of last starring in Capcom Fighting ‘Evolution’.
Sent from my DROID3
